This would be a brilliant use of the API economy by companies like Facebook. It may be their best way to keep users on their platform as Steemit gains momentum.

I see it the same way. Currently steemit is holding onto this gem and this is the capability that no one else have. It is imperative that the community recognizes this sooner than later.
