More Than a Simple Bid Bot:

STEEM's First Bot Based Gamified RPG: Crypto Empire!
If you read the introduction of the post, that's the setting for the game.
The way the game is going to be played is by delegation. We pay 95% of our profits to the delegators, and we do this through the game.
By delegating to @cryptoempire, you'll be entering the game, and yes any amount will do!
When you enter the game, you'll start to get a passive income from the bot's profits. You'll get paid every day automatically.
At the end of the week, @cryptoempire posts the update for that week - and thus the game advances.
When someone delegates, he'll be a colonist on the new world, and these are some things that happen:
- If you delegate 50SP, your colony has a woodcutter. The daily profit you get is the wood being sold;
- If another player has delegated 1000 SP, he has a blacksmith and forges weapons and armor for other players;
- If another player has delegated 10,000 SP, his colony has 3 farms, 1 blacksmith, 2 lumberjacks.
- If another player has delegated 10,000 SP but did DIFFERENT CHOICES, he may even have a Mercenary Company, getting supplied from the blacksmith player and sacking someone else's farm.
Confused to how this works?
Well, it's all simple and exciting, and you'll see when the first update happens. For now, know that the game:
- Responds to the amount you delegate;
- Responds to your personal choices;
- You can customize your colony;
- You can take moral choices;
- Income you have from the delegation has repercussions in the game;
- You can upgrade, explore, fight;
- You'll get extra income from events...
...and more!
But... some choices, events, features and perks are locked until certain conditions are met, certain locations explored, certain TIERs are reached.

Besides the obvious ethical questions surrounding the bid bots, I quit using them altogether because I wanted to grow organically, but also, I tired of watching people who had no idea what they were doing, up-bidding at the last minute and ruining any chance for profit amongst the others already involved!

This is interesting and I am curious to see how it rolls out.
I am also curious about playing - but I may be mistaken in thinking that a player of my size would not really benefit much (besides - I am pretty partial to the vote slider).
As a matter of curiosity - if enough players invest in a blacksmith, wouldn't the market quickly become saturated with more stuff than can be sold?
Speaking of selling - is there a specific in-game currency or are income Steem/SBD-based?
How does buying votes interact with this space?
Will doing so result in some kind of in-comments announcement withing the chosen post?

The Blacksmith was an example. People will choose different things... watch how the first week goes and you'll see :D
There are several in-game resources, but players do get SBD and STEEM.
Looks interesting! Is there some safeguard to prevent little camps being stomped on by big ones? I wouldn't want it being pay to win!
Yeap! No pay 2 win here! Dont worry, you'll never get your Steem and SBD earnings compromised... other resources and your village's health my suffer at times, but also not pay to win, play your cards right and you will have the same shots as others.
Will there be a GOTY edition?
It will come out the second after you buy the regular edition and be half the cost.
