Serendipitous to read this right now as I am reconsidering my approach to Steemit right now. Your list is spot-on as far as I can tell, for a majority of the platform at least. I too have been looking over a number of Steemians to see basically what their approach is and what their reach is and the upbeat non-ranty travel sexhibitionism is much beloved.
Unfortunately, none of that is really me :P I am interested in retooling my approach to achieve maximum reach per post and a find a format with which I can generate more followers and create more content in less time that is geared towards making a positive difference in the world. Money not a serious goal, though I see it has to be a consideration to get real traction here. We'll see if I can manage that. I have the feeling my writing is dense, serious and too laden with reference notes, i.e. too academic :P We'll see if I can mix it up and take some tips from your contribution here!
Ok, I can probably wait for #8 to see if you have really taken some of my Steemit success tips lol.
