Probably not the place to discuss this (I will have a post on alt media soon actually), but I would argue that a lot of alt media is really badly sourced at best and outright lying to sell you a product at worst and a good deal of it should the flagged out of existence.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think we should censor stories simply because we don't agree with them, but I think we should do more to curate out less than reputable sources.
