@haejin abusing bid-bots now. What kind of abuse comes next?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Apparently bidding bots were created, as far as I know, to get good quality content more visibility. I'm not gonna spend too much time writing this post as I don't think anything in the "war" is quality content to begin with although it's obvious who is "raping the rewards pool".

Prob now is, @haejin isn't just upvoting himself 10 times a day and contributing jacksquat to the Steemit community as a whole, by using bid bots to upvote "himself" or other accounts in concern that sides with his agenda, it's just more things ruined for most users that work hard on content.

I can't say much about my content as I basically am trying everything on the Steemit blockchain but I've brought many people who blog their heart out and write really good content than the usual social media rants and subjective personal opinion.

Not only bloggers and authors but curators that take the time to read through content to reward them like @karenmckersie's #popcontest, @appreciator upvotes from #steemitbloggers runned by @jaynie, @curie of course, @ocd by @acidyo and his team of curators, these guys take the time to build a community of quality content. The only whale I frequently get upvotes and support from is @kevinwong of which supports the #teammalaysia community a lot as well.

These guys are awesome but they support so many people with their projects and initiatives which is why I started using bid bots. The reason why I'm writing this post is that one of my bids today toward @smartsteem of which I'm whitelisted on, lost almost half of what I put in and when you calculate the payout after the curation rewards I've given @smartsteem 50 SBD and gonna be getting back about 20+ SBD come payout day.

But more than just my subjective opinion on what content "deserves" to use the bid bots, is this whale war going too far?

Before this most of what @haejin did, didn't "offend" anyone except @berniesanders. But now are his (or network of people) choices and actions gonna hurt the community more?

Yesterday self votes 10 times a day and doing virtually nothing for the community, today abusing bidding bots, tomorrow?

The post I bid for an upvote was even found by @trufflepig. Not many in the whole Steemitverse get's that and I think that post "deserved" to get a little bit more since no whale is upvoting it right?

I'm not dissing on whales or anything, we all have our right to vote or not to vote of even flag. Everyone is using their investments as they so choose which since I'm still fairly new and don't have a buttload of money to pump into SP, I'm using the savings which I got through other writings and contents to now boost those new contents I do to get more visibility.

I don't blog as often anymore because I go through a longer thought process and editing the details so I can produce better quality content instead of quantity of posts.

Here's the link to the post I was bidding for an upvote:

Frameworks Issue #14: How to Listen to Music

(sigh)On my bid for @smarsteem, it was 50 SBD, now check out how this escalates in a couple of minutes..... Man those guys that were bidding for @appreciator & @postpromoter..............

(200 SBD bid??? Nobody has bid that much ever)

Wait.... There's MORE!

(another 200 SBD bid! This is just madness.)

Alert: rubbish article ahead. As much as I don't like promoting the crap that @haejin does whether on his post or posts worshipping him, here's the post that apparently deserves a 800+ SBD payout:

Sir Steals-alot.I think people making up their mind who is right or wrong here is taking too much time. The Steemit whitepaper clearly states that THE COMMUNITY has to decide what is good or not good. A friend of mine @hooiyewlim was posting daily about a month ago on "One Flag a Day for @haejin" of which came to a futile end as nobody supported his cause. This guy by the way uses his earned SBD to buy more content to post it on Steemit. He's a history enthusiast and numismatic dealer. Can't say the same for

The only positive I can say is, this situation gave me something to write about today....... meh

If you liked my post on '[How To Listen to Music]'(https://steemit.com/music/@danielwong/frameworks-issue-14-how-to-listen-to-music), do give me an upvote to cover my losses or better yet help me make some earnings from that that took hours to write. Don't bother in upvoting this one as I can differentiate quality work with not quality work including stuff I write about.

Great thing about the biding where he spent 200SBD is that he made a great deal of loss himself :D

He's bidding for someone else and he earns 1k SBD per day anyway.

Yeah.. That's true though !
Feeling sorry for you and all those who lost a lot because of him.
I lost a little SBD myself because of him too..

He is getting himself more and more cornered each day passing.. I wonder why @ned is not checking this war out !

he's a shithead. wait til there are groups coming in with millions of SP

Yep exactly.. Man lost 30 SBD on that bid alone. Lucky @dlive supports me a lot.. haha

nice post, I like it... please Follow me. I am New User

yup, try to warm everyone but everyone seem fine with it . I guess i should abuse it too . I stop doing that because Qurator side say they will stop upvoting me because they don't support post that have something to do with attacking specific people.

I guess money talks every where eh?

this is very interesting, keep up the good work
