Apologies if this has already been asked; I did a quick search but couldn't find an answer.
I know the Steemit Slack channel is extremely active, but I'm curious if there any future plans to enable direct messaging on the Steemit platform? Lots of collaboration opportunities might be created if Steemers (Steemians? Steemies?) were able to communicate directly with each other.
Besides, I've read that Steemit currently has ~ 3500 active members, and the Slack channel is currently 1,136. That's actually really impressive, but we're missing some folks.
I would prefer direct messaging on Steemit rather than going to the Slack app. Although I do enjoy tuning into Slack once in awhile
I agree with you guys... chatting or at least being able to have a message center separate from the reply to posts.
