During a long phone call with my youngest sister with talked of many things, but the last thing we talked about was Steemit.

I have been trying to get my sister to participate in Steemit for a long time now and she is interested, but not active.

Yes, she even signed up, but has not written anything yet. I told her I understand that writing something for Steemit might feel intimidating.

I know that when I first started I wasn't even sure that I want to blog at all.

I knew that I can always comment. Well, I used to always comment on Youtube and I still comment on Youtube.

At least in Steemit you might get a chance to get rewards that pay in Steem for the comment that you make.

I told my sister who does take a lot of pictures with her phone all the time. That when blogging to use at least one picture and to write a story around it.

I even told her how I took mom's car to the auto mechanic's and that as I was walking home I took pictures and wrote about something about every picture that I took.

I told her with the thousands of pictures that she has in her phone to just pick one and write a blog around that picture.

I told her that writing blogs in Steemit is like almost everyday work. Like a new job and how that at a new job you get a little nervous, but after awhile you get used to it and it gets easier and easier.

You see I just want her to just write one thing, cause after writing one blog it would be a little easier to write the next blog.

I told her that she wants to write a blog everyday. I wanted her to set a goal of a blog a day.

You see when I read of another blogger mentioning to someone that commented to her asking her about writing here on Steemit to be successful.

One of the things she wrote her was to write everyday.

Well, I took her advice as if she was writing to me. You see before that I would write maybe two or three blogs a week.

In the beginning I would worry about what I would write about next. That was my early stages of writer's block.

I told my sister that I don't really have writers block anymore.

I told her now days when I take a picture of something with my phone I am thinking ahead at what I can write about pertaining to the picture I just took.

I told her that if she does get writer's block to call me and I would give her multiple ideas of what to write about.

I told her of a book that really helped me called, If You Can Talk, You Can Write by Joel Saltzman.

Doesn't that make sense? I mean we talk all the time and we never think about how many words we say. We just talk and it is so easy.

Well, if one can write just like he or she talks then that can break almost anybodies writer's block.

We even have smart phones that can type as we talk. Well, I don't use those in writing blog's, but I guess I can if I want to.

I would rather talk through my fingers as I key on my computer.

I told my sister also that I use a text to speech software. You see after I write something I run it through a text to speech to hear what it sounds like with a computer reading back to me what I just wrote.

It is an excellent way to see what needs to be rewritten. As soon as I hear something that doesn't sound quite right I go back and rewrite it until it does sound right.

I mentioned using a text to speech software to help out in my writing in a blog a wrote last year I got some comments back that, that idea alone helped them out so much.

I also mentioned that as so as she writes something to look at other's writings and to upvote and comment on blogs that she likes.

I told her that the blogger that she just upvoted and commented on might come to her blog and do the same.

I also told her that to not expect anything. Like even if she does write a blog and she doesn't even get an upvote at all to not get discouraged.

I told her that in the beginning that I wrote many blogs that didn't even get one upvote.

Well sometimes those blogs that didn't make any upvotes can make you feel kind of down, but the only thing to do is write another blog and the sooner the better.

So I kept on talking to my sister in this way til she had to go.

Hopefully she will write something soon.
