Steemit 2018 Power Up Project Streak Extended: 6 in a Row!

The Steemit 2018 power up project CONTINUES! It's the 6th day of the year and I have bought Steem and powered up on all 6 days thus far. During 2017, a few generous Steemians delegated some Steem power to me, and the last bit of that delegation ended earlier this week, so my interest in regaining Steem power is even higher.

Today I used the internal market to buy Steem with SBD, although I have also used Blocktrades in the past for this same transaction.

I am targeting 5000 Steem Power as an initial goal.

And voila, more Steem Power with which I can support the Steemit community and other creators and curators! Join me in the 2018 Steemit power up project!

let's power up

Do you recommend to choose the power-up option when posting new content as opposed to 50/50?

If the value of SBD is above 1.00usd, choise 50/50-option!

This would not be a good strategy right now, because SBD are high... meaning you would get more SBD's than you would Steem, and you could use these SBD's to buy more Steem, than powering up alone.

To give you, and anyone else here an example, in case this doesn't make too much sense.

Lets say for the sake of simplicity that a final payout was supposed to be on a 50/50 5 Steem - 5 SBD (its never this easy, but this is an example)

If the valuation of SBD vs Steem is 1.3 (its currently around there right now) you could get 6.5 Steem for your 5 SBD.

In other words, doing a full power up would cost you 1.5 Steem, or in today's prices $9.75 USD approx. That is a good subway meal right there...

Not trying to be a jerk, but is any subway meal "Good?"

The last time I had subway and enjoyed it I was homeless, and that was a good two meals, considering I was a dumpster scavenger.

You make a very good point hahah a... I don't love subway, but it saves the day every now and then, when I'm super hungry and home is too far away...

I can respect that, for sure. It just threw me off seeing "good" and "subway" in the same sentence.

how a can sent steem dollars to steem ??

Go to you wallet, click the down arrow next to your steem dollar balance, choose market. Once in the market tab, select your price, ( I click a decent one in the buy column), fill in amount of SBD (steem dollars) you want to sell, hit the "buy steem" button, enter your password and wait for someone to buy your SBD with steem.

Thanks work , follow you

Wow this is nice news! You had me at more Steem power to support the community! Now, finding ways to learn more.

Nice! I only got into Steemit because of your show, and I'm super excited about it now. I am excited to see what 2018 holds in store.

should i buy steem or sbd ? , anyway keep up the great content :D

It would be cool if you did a post on what and what not to do concerning this issue. This one is great already.

@davidpakman,

nicely express the whole process of Power Up. yes agreed that steem power is much essential to maintain the account value.after the changing the scenario of post payouts 50/50 to i think 50/15, thre is lack of Sp,
Thanks for updating.

good post.thanks for sharing.

The earnings on this platform are insane! HAHA

More power to your elbow!

Good sharing!!!

Nice post :)

I bought steem before I joined and used it to power up earlier this week. 96 steem gave me a big boost in steem power. I have been converting all my steem dollars to steem to power up as well.
