I think 177 is pretty impressive... sure you still have ways to go but sounds like an awesome start. What's your secret? Did you do a lot of posting, commenting, or a combination? Any advice for a fellow newbie (3 days for me!) is welcome 😌

If your a beautiful woman on here, you can get like 4000 in your first month, lol.
I think commenting on other posts that were interesting did help a bunch. But also tried what a lot on here do, and that is following lots and lots of people in hopes they add you too. Not sure if it really helps, it is harder for me to see the ones I want to in my feed now. More followers doesn't mean more money or reputation points, and it doesn't really make your content anymore visible it seems, especially when people are follow thousands at a time. It is all beta now, so hopefully these things change some how. But welcome aboard! lets see where this thing can take us! ...........and of course after saying all that about following........I'm now following you, hahaha

oh, here is a little tip for you, check out steemnow.com, it helps with seeing all your stats and whats going on much easier

I think the more original the content the better, look at Jeff Berwick he has lots of youtube videos, and already has a following outside of steem. As I understand it the more steem power you have the easier it is for you to obtain steem, its like a multiplier. I bet some of these people also purchase steem....i bought $20 worth with bitcoin. Well see how it goes There is also a wordpress plugin that will automatically post to steem if you want when you post on your wordpress site. Very cool things are going to be happening in the blockchain / crypto world, it is going to disrupt alot of things. Everything we are typing is all on a blockchain.

It is all about the steam power more than anything. That does bother me a little, the thought of corporate abuse that could come or even government trolling campaign. It is almost the same old same old, if you have money you can buy your power on here instead of earning it slowly.
Yes, familiar with Jeff Berwick, he got $15k for his intro post last year! that helped him a lot for getting started on here also.
