If you’re a big fan of your sweets, you may want to look away now. A grim AF ‘how it’s made’ style video has scarred us all for life and will probably make sure you never look at gummy sweets in the same way ever again.Belgian filmmaker Alina Kneepkens created the foodie horror film to highlight the gruesome process of how gelatin sweets are made by unrolling the footage in reverse and starting with the finished product before revealing its gory inception.

Gelatin is a gelling agent made from animal skin and bones, but nothing can prepare you for seeing how it’s made. The video shows the boiling of all the skin, cartilage and bones of some veryunlucky pigs.
They are then covered in colouring, sugar and other sweeteners to produce the yummy sweets enjoyed by everyone around the globe. This is just one of many of Kneepkens’ horrible videos documenting the reality of how our food is made, with the black pudding one in particular sticking out as one to avoid watching if you’re a big fan of it with your cooked breakfast.
First, we found out gives you cancer and now this? I can’t live in a world like this anymore. I’m out.
