A suggestion, if I may: Don't overemphasize the "make money" part. It's very alluring, because everyone comes running when they think there's free money being given away... but as you know, it takes work and dedication to make that money.

So if you can, perhaps focus a little more on Steemit being a great social content site with a great community AND it offers a beautiful opportunity for people to become "stake holders" in the very venue they are using (through accumulating Steem Power = influence) which is something neither YouTube not Facebook can offer.

By taking the emphasis a little off "make money" (which is very "now" and "short term") and instead focusing on "accumulating influence" as an investment in "Brand You," (more long term) I think you might attract more people who have an interest in actually building something... rather than just "making a fast buck."

The benefit to you is that you'll get less negative feedback from people who'll say "You told me Steemit was GREAT, so why haven't I made $1000 yet?" because they were just in it for fast cash.

Yeah you re totally right! I dont want to make people think its easy and over promise, so I think I might just say what you just typed here and use that as a quote, and mention that you can make money in the future if you do work hard and if you do put into the platform. I hope it goes well, I'm really nervous just want to really tell everyone about this in the correct way! Thanks so much for the advice, really appreciated!

Of course, we should also keep in mind that different people have different objectives. Clearly, you are actively building "Brand Alla." Which is awesome... but some people are just "casual bloggers," and that's OK, too. And some people don't create content at all, but they are active readers and contributors in comment discussions... and that has its own rewards, here on Steemit. And that answers a question I sometimes get: "But what if I am not a blogger/content creator?" Well, you can be a curator.

For people on Youtube, creators at least, the money making aspect shouldn't be downplayed. It is absolutely a killer app. I think that it is just important that while we talk about the money making aspect, we make it clear to set realistic expectations.

LIke you said, it is hard work to make money on Steem. The difference with Youtube and Facebook is that those platforms require much higher levels of social success (millions of followers etc.) before you can actually make reasonable money on them.

That, right there. Which applies to ALL social media. Like people may look at Alla and her show, and go "wow," but we all know damn well that she didn't just wake up last week and say "I think I'll do a cooking video!" and 500,000 followers appeared out of thin air. But that's often public perception when someone says "make money on YouTube."

You're spot on about the social success levels... I get more interaction here from less than 700 followers than a Farcebook page with 17K likes and two 10K member groups. The real challenge (at least for me) is how to skim off just the active part of that audience and bring them to Steemit, not all the "sleepers."
