Thanks @bleedpoet! Trouble is a lot of people with a "money orientation" don't tend to think in the longer term... their thinking is more "How can I make the most for the NEXT post," and disregards that the nature of the post might actually erode the quality of the community. It's almost like the age old dilemma: Would you take $1000 now, or $20 a week for the rest of your life? It's amazing how many people choose the $1000.

I think it also comes from a general misunderstanding of how crypto currencies become worth so much more over a long term, that it's not just a fraudulent scheme that will see the top earners sell out and crash the whole machine back to the dust from whence it came.
A valid point, for sure... cryptos are widely misunderstood, and this particular crypto-based social content site is both a blessing and a curse... a "blessing" because it's an ingenious way to introduce the mainstream to cryptos in a very basic and easily understood way... and yet a curse because, as you said, many people don't understand the foundation here and are suspicious "because it doesn't pay in CASH."
