Agreed!
It's always interesting to watch the evolution of ideas in this fast moving world. People start great ventures with promise (like Steemit) and have high ideals... but democracy and vision heads in the toilet when the early adopters realize that it actually WORKS!!! and suddenly they have large bank balances... at which point conservatism and protectionism sets in... IRONICALLY serving only to kill the very goose that was laying golden eggs.
At last...Somebody that understands what I said!!! I'm not trying to attack anybody, the developers have the right to do whatever they wish and I support that. I'm just saying that somebody will see all of the complaints and start a more democratic platform.
I've offered a solution to this problem https://steemit.com/steem/@snowflake/guardian-of-the-steem-universe-a-different-perspective-on-the-role-of-whales-within-steem-ecosystem-part-2
I agree with you, if all voting power is not given back to the 99% steem will never go mainstream and will end up being a ghost town.
I don't know what it will take for most people to understand this.. ( many gets it but some are not ready to give up their power to make the platform better, they prefer to keep it until it becomes completely worthless)
I hope they see the problem and fix it...we all have a vested interest in Steemit's success.
What about steemit do you find undemocratic?
