Couple days ago I have shared my thoughts and ways how to maximize gains in Steemit. I have received multiple feedbacks that post was useful for some users. I would like to share some more thoughts on the topic and possibly help others to be happier Steemeans by maximizing their rewards. If you haven't read Part - 1 yet, I highly encourage you to read it here.
Before I move on to new discoveries, let me mention more about @tradeqwik and @curie.
here.@tradeqwik has a generous program. If you sign up in the website and send them your VIVA ID by simple comment, you will get auto-upvotes for every blog you post. It is worth about 0.60 SBD. So simple, no extra effort after initial sign up. Today @tradeqwik have announced a contest to create a logo for them. I encourage all to participate, even if you think you are not creative or don't posses design skills. If you win you get some nice prize. Even if you don't win, I bet your entry will earn you some decent upvote. Take a look at their contest post
@curie discovers new authors and provides exposure with nice upvotes for the discovered post. Users submit posts, and it that post is upvoted by @curie you get finder's fee of 10 SBD. There are few simple rules :
- You can't submit your own post
- Author the post must have reputation under 53
- No photography, no travel, no crypto posts
- Post must have original content
- Outside resources must be properly cited
- Post you sumbit should be at least 150 minutes old and no older than a day
- Post earning at the time of submission must be under $1
- Posts should be in Enlgish
Just follow those guidelines and if you see something good, go ahead and submit to curie and participate in the opportunity of getting 10 SBD finder's fee. If you curate a lot this can be a good additional reward.
I have recently checked the ratio of my earning from posts and comments. It turns out I have been earning more from my comments than posts. Managing your time wisely and trying to have meaningful and rewarded engagement is the key. Remember you are in it to have fun, learn, share, and make money.
There are a lot of Steemians who reward meaningful engagement and loyal followers. Spending your valuable time with them is most rewarding. I am not talking about trending posts. Most of the posts that are trending all the time by same authors might end up being waste of your time. I don't want to mention any names, I don't need any enemies. But the fact of the matter is if you are not getting anything meaningful or educational or entertaining or rewarding, move on, don't waste your time. There are some out there who just treat their followers as their minions, brag about their success and wealth but never bother to reward most of the followers.
Here are my latest discoveries:
@daniel82 : This guy is awesome. Most importantly I have been enjoying his posts. They are short, sweet to the point, and stuff I am interested in. Often time he offers full power upvote for a simple resteem which is worth 1.60 to 1.80.
@goldmatters : Another awesome Steemian who promotes Goldmoney, which I think is a great idea for those who are into it. He gives generous upvotes for engagements as well. That reward is around 1.50.
@humanearl : He is absolutely amazing. You can get 2-3 SBD worth of upvote from him.
There are many more. Amount of the reward doesn't matter, be it a penny or more. As long as you are getting rewarded for your interaction you are maximizing your gains. Be a loyal followers to those who are generous to you.
This doesn't mean you should be spamming comments. Make sure you are having genuine and meaningful contribution to the post and discussions. That has everlasting value. We want generous Steemians to be more successful and rich because their generosity will increase as well. Always make sure you upvote them with 100%, they deserve it. Resteem their posts, spread the love.
Final thoughts
Clean up your Feed. Unfollow those whose posts you are not reading anyway. I encourage all of my followers who don't care about my posts to unfollow me. Keep a clean feed, that way you don't miss out on topics you care about and generous rewards. Constantly be on search for new authors to follow. Keep adding new ones. Share the ones you like. Remember you want them to be the most successful.
I always upvote posts and comments I like. That's why I have never been able to reach back to 100% charge since HF19. I usually ignore comments that are generic or spam and don't upove the post.
Bonus Income
@neoxian bank : He runs a program where he lends his Steem Power with delegating it for certain fee. It is a great tool for those who want to lease out some delegated Steem Power.
If you know any authors you would like to share drop them in comment. Please don't spam posts though. Let me know if I should continue with these series. If you guys like I will keep sharing my discoveries.
Thank you for all your great information! I will try to integrate your methods and see if they work for me.
lol I thought dolphins were already happy steemians :)
I am glad you liked. It means a lot to me. Thank you.
@darnscottyHi @deserttree, thank you for the information. I signed up with TradeQuick and it seems like you can mainly buy Viva from them. By the way, where do you see your Viva ID?
Go to a section where you would deposit Steem. You don't need to deposit, but in that section you will see deposit ID, long number. That should be it. If you can't find it let me know, I try to get a screenshot.
great post series @deserttree, even learned about a few things I've missed! :) found my way here from your kind gesture for @lindahas of submitting her post to @curie. I too was impressed with her writing first time we "crossed paths", especially for a newbie steemian!
On a slightly different note, I just released a script for steemit.com that enables anyone above 72 SP to also have access to a post vote slider, not to mention it also allows you to upvote expired content as well (based on active author comments).
As it seems you're keenly aware of the advantages (perhaps even moreso for low SP holders) of "spreading the love" on comments as well, you may find the script of interest in the quest to help "maximize potential gains" and kickstart one's following on STEEMIT!
Link: Ultimate STEEMIT: Minnow Post Vote Slider and Past Payout Monetizer Script... and next, here comes SteemTUBE!!! 😲
ah nice. Thank you sharing the script, I will check it out later.
regards!Wow very interesting, excellent post, good job! @deserttree keep it up, thank you for shared the information.
I am glad you liked
Hi @deserttree, thanks for the info. I've been looking for something like this. When I see a great post, I'd like to do more than give my less than a penny upvote.
this penny will be worth a $1 when Steem moves up. Attention is more valuabe. Thank you.
Hey man
This article is 100% helpful for me personally, i read the part one first and learnt a lot and this one is another helpful one. Your reputation is more than 53 if not i would have submitted this to @curie, this post deserve wider view for many noobs to learn from your wealth of experience.
I will be resteeming this to my little followers so they can learn too and avoid little mistakes that makes people fail to progress on steemit
Thank you. I am very glad these posts of help. Yea I don't qualify for @curie but Inhad some love from it last week, thats how I reached 53. I will keep you in mind when I curate. Always make sure you cite your sources when needed.
Alright thanks man and i try as much with citing sources and always avoid plagiarism
Thank you as always for the great info!! I really learn something new everyday!
Thank you.
Can I propose posts in Spanish to Curie? I am a member of the Spanish speaking community in Steemit, and could send a few very interesting posts. If Curie does not have a Spanish evaluator, I could be that person. Humbly. :-)
actually you bring up good point. All post should be in english.
It seems difficult to get a VIVA ID. I am now trying to read the 4th article defining VIVA, but have not yet seen the VIVA ID mentioned. I´ll keep trying.
It is not. Go to the link I gave for @tradeqwik, they explained that in the comments section. Somebody asked. I am not taking screenshot, you didn't even upvote my post lol.
You´re right! I do not have voting power, I took it to 60% yesterday, I have to let it build up. Sorry about that. I love to vote everything I find interesting, but when I get carried away I start getting bandwidth error messages.
Thank you.
Really nice one, @deserttree. I got my VIVA ID and included it in a comment at one of @tradeqwik posts. Thanks so much.
awesome
Thank you again. Really helpful. I will keep my efforts to start to use @tradeqwik (I opened an account and asked some questions, don´t get the feel of it yet), and @curie (this one I am pretty confident I´ll be able to engage with).
glad it was helpful
