Can we have people go to texas, go to steemit inc and see if they are still in operations?
See if ned is ok
Get details on whats going on?
@stellabelle knows the location I believe.
Steemians in and around that location, please do something.
I believe and I know many of you think it too, steem will die, no two ways about that, if radical changes are not made.
lets begin
I saw it fit that I end the year with one of the earliest programs I started here, it was used as a way to teach newbies how to move forward on steemit and evolved into teaching ways that steemit could help in revolutionizing applications used by blockchain tech companies.
2019................. Steemit is dead...... Heres a roadmap to recovery and greatness
This will hopefully be quite short as a long read is not what many want.
4 key things are needed for steem to recover
- Regain lost confidence
- Prove usefulness of the blockchain
- Core publicity
- Multiple streams of income
Regain confidence
This is a no-brainer.
Communications will always be key.
Always, there is no two ways about it.
If your manager at the bank suddenly stops giving directives, i dont think that bank would last another few months without him/her/them being sacked.
If the ceo of apple were to suddenly go mute, I doubt Apple stocks would remain same.
Apply the situation happening to steem now to any other company in the world, the result is always disaster and yet, steemit is holding up quite well because of the community.
I am very sure there are big secrets being held from the public view by the ceo, but those are allegations and I would refrain from stating such from now on.
The few weeks ned scott came back and did the video updates, community response improved and people became more relaxed.
The steem Blockchain wasn't packaged like the way eos was, steem is still heavily built around steemit. With the large stake steemit has, they still control the market.
It therefore stands to reason that the ceo of that body, should be able to stand up and listen to community advice and communicate more effectively.
That, or a group of people willing to use the steem Blockchain, band together, pull resources and oust the steemit team, so we can have a leading body that knows how to run a social media blockchain business.
For this initiative, i propose leaders from @oracle-d, @sndbox,@steemcleaners along side witnesses band up, pull resources together, travel to texas, meet with ned and get the details needed and if need be, SP needed to do this.
That premined SP is afterall, supposed to be for the community.
While the next two points are self explanatory, the last needs a little looking into.
I have learnt a lot over the last year, mainly.... DO NOT DEPEND TOTALLY ON CRYPTO
Like, I cant stress this point enough. Two of the main reason crypto startups and tokens fails is because
- There is no market for your product
- Your source of income is Unsustainable
Steemit had the chance to introduce advertisement.
Will steemit carry this stubbornness to the grave?
The hallmark of a great product and company is knowing when to innovate before it becomes too late.
Blackberry passed the point of no return and even though they tried to implement new changes, it was already too little too late.
With new systems coming up, it is only a matter of time before one takes over the position steemit holds and steemit passes that point of no return.
The update about steemit being broke and without money by ned is still a non-issue as far as I am concerned.
You have a gigantic platform, utilize it.
Steemit is currently above 5000 ranking in alexa and with serious publicity and advertisement, can easily cross the coveted top 1000 position.
Coinmarketcap.com charges thousands of dollars for adverts per day and we obviously can get same or similar amount of traffic.
So why the hell why won't steemit.com and its team implement something of that nature?
Or at least google adsense or something.
Freaking allow adverts and free up a lot of cash crunch concerns.
Treat your customers right
There are multiple roads to success when pushing a product, the biggest of which is to know your customer base and keep them at all cost.
Many people fail to realize that keeping a good customer base is key to the success of any business. The start of a new year always represents the beginning of new opportunities to acquire new customers and to draw up new strategies to keep old customers. Even here on the steem Blockchain, one of the key things we lack is the fact that we do not keep our customer base, i.e we do not keep the users hat are using the steemit.com platform.
I always attribute the success of eos to the fact that dan larimer knew what he was doing, he was a hype man in all senses he had previously successful blockchains, but more than that eos users and BPs basically knew or rather they know how to keep their user entertained and always happy.
I will continue to push out the message that steem needs top-notch communication whether it be from the steamit.com team or a group that decides to take over operations from the steemit.com team.
The next step is to then draw up the entire map for 2019 with users and community leaders in tow and know what it is we need in our quest to increase our market cap.
I dare say investors, community leaders and steemit.com team should sit and really discuss the way forward.
Investors can threaten to start powering down and leaving the system if need be.
Lets also forget for a moment that steem is also a blogging platform, let us think outside the box and reason what if steem wasn't a blogging platform? what will we do to grow steem then? how do you grow steem in other ways and then add the advantages that the blogging aspect adds to it?
Hopefully we can work together with different entities in the steemit.com ecosystem, different bodies, different communities to realise these goals and push steem back up above top 50, top 30 and then top 20 ranking on cmc.
It is a rather big shame that a revolutionary blockchain such as steem is basically below bitshares in market cap, when we were supposed to have more advantages than it and we also believe verge and so many other coins that have been 51% attack recently shouldn't be above us.
So I end as I started, steem will die, no two ways about that, if radical changes are not made.
Great advice from a Strategist @destinysaid. I hope the Steem community sees with you
Exciting times ahead! :) fingers crossed
You may want to get involved with @nathanmars initiative to get angel investors here from the larger world of crypto. He's currently going after them on twitter, and we look great on the @stateofthedapps listing. The current "investors" here are burnt out. New blood might make a difference.
