The Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) is one of the predators of birds (birds of prey) in the Accipitridae family (eagles) that exist in the northern hemisphere in Eurasia, North America and African settlements. Locations with the largest number of birds found in Southern Alameda County, California.
Golden Eagle is dark brown, with a golden style on the head and neck. This bird is large enough with a wingspan that can reach more than 2 meters and a body length of about 1 meter.
As a bird of prey, golden Eagle is given a weapon that is only owned by carnivores and certainly serves to kill effectively. The eagle has an eyelid that can be closed during sleep. To blink, they have a transparent inner petal to keep their eyes clean and able to see when flying. The eagle's eye view is also colored like ours with sharpness four times better. An eagle can see the rabbit from a distance of 1.5 km. This means an eagle flying at a height of 300 meters can see clearly a prey in an area of nearly 4.5 sq. Km of its flying location. Subhanallah ... The eagle's beak is shaped in such a way with the function of tearing meat in small sizes.
Cakarnyapun is curved with a function to grip its prey, while its legs and wings are so strong as to be able to carry the burden of prey while flying back to the nest.
Golden Eagle has a hunting area of about 155 sq. Km. Including a monogamous bird.
Golden eagles usually nest on high ground like cliffs, trees, or man-made buildings such as telephone poles. They make a nest (also called Eyrie) large size with a diameter of about 2 meters and a height of about 1 meter which will usually be used for years to raise several generations.
Near the cliffs like this usually the Golden Eagle nest.
The female eagles usually lay one to four eggs, and together the male will incubate the eggs for 40 to 45 days alternately for food. After hatching, usually one or two children will survive and for 50 days will be fed by their parents before they can fly and hunt themselves.
Birds For Hunting:
The ability of golden hawks in the hunt was also used by humans. Golden eagles can be trained to perform falconry or hawking activities involving predatory birds that have been trained to hunt or compete (may be similar like pigeon train times ...). In Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and western China, the eagle is used for hunting by humans.
These hunters usually take a few months old eagles by trapping them with small birds or carcasses. Once captured the eagle will be kept for one to two months by being fed directly from the hands of his master, in order to create a relationship between them.
Then there is also a phase known as the "Broken" isitilah that is when the eagle tied on a pole so that when he will fly he will fall again to the ground. During this time, the eagle is not fed and after a few days he will eventually surrender and become obedient to his master and will not escape.
To train him to hunt, the hunter will put the eagle on the pole and then lure him with the bark of the wasted animal skin. If the eagle attacks the skin the hunter will give the flesh a gift to the eagle.
