MY 100% UPVOTES FOR TODAY - CHECK THEM OUT!

Remember about three weeks ago I decided to limit my voting for the day to 10 posts, and TO UPVOTE them at 100%? Well, I said I might make it a regular thing to do, so here I go again!

This time however, I want to first of all apologize to all my loyal followers, as I have not chosen any of your posts to Upvote this time. I have not forgotten you though, so I'll be dropping by to make some comments later on. No, this time I decided to search on the introduceyourself tag and to choose new posts where those posting were new to Steemit, and not those exploiting the introduceyourself tag! (I was shocked to see just how many of those I found!)

Why am I doing this? It's because I remember only too well how hard it was to get noticed right at the beginning. I came close to quitting many times, but because I'm not actually a quitter by nature, I kept plodding on and building up relationships as best as I could.

I hope you will check out a couple or all of these posts and give them a bit of encouragement. They were not on the Trending Page when I found them, but of course they may well be by now. Or they still may be staring at a post that says .45 and is not moving! They come from all walks of life and from many different countries! Let's give them a warm Steemit welcome!

@repex left a comment on an old post of mine, asking a question about posting images on Steemit. He reached out and found my post, and it's thanks to him that I decided to devote all my Upvotes to the introduceyourself post today! He lives and works in Italy.

I think this is a wonderful idea @dmcamera I will resteem this so that I can read the links you have provided and add my support. It's so important in the early days isn't it? Have a wonderful afternoon/evening.

Thanks for sharing great content! @journeyfreedom

I read all their introductory posts and I like what you are doing here :)
For that, I will dedicate 10% of my voting power to each of them. Not much when compared to your 100%, but still, a little something should help.

I remember only too well how hard it was to get noticed right at the beginning

Thanks! I now have some new friends to Follow including yourselves. :-)

Give me a ping when you do this again. :)

Will try to temember that! 😊

This is a good idea to support the new accounts. It can seem like a complete waste of effort when you start on steemit and sometimes great work goes by in a flash unless we search it out.

So true. I like to be an encourager. It’s the old schoolteacher in me. 😊

Snap! Me too. ;)

Did you teach too? It was my first career, so it’s in my blood. Lol!

Yep, been teaching for 30+ years. Retired but still need to do a bit.

I only taught for 6 years total as a career, but in recent years I volunteered as an ESOL teacher, and taught an American Citizenship class to immigrants from all over the world. I also went to the Czech Republic for 3 summers to teach English at a summer camp. 😊

This is perfect!! I think all of us should dedicate one day a week to doing this!! What a wonderful idea and a great way to make a difference!

Thanks, Melinda. I hope it makes a difference. 😊

I think what your doing about caring and promoting others on steamit is absolutely wonderful.
I am new and have noticed how hard it is, you poor your heart out, and all creativity with out being recognized.
I thought steemit was about impartiality and the week and the strong helping each other.
I can see the good, and the potential and how there is others with big hearts just like yours.
Every time i come across good i get excited and not despondent.
So thank you and keep up the fine work and example.

You are welcome. It's a struggle to find your place on Steemit - especially at the very beginning, but soon you make a circle of friends who support you.

I am really grateful for having me mentioned in the post. This is a good initiative to connect with other like-minded people. Keep up the great work!!

You are welcome! I wish you lots of success on Steemit!

This is a great idea to support the new Steemians and I will gladly give my vote.
Resteemed to read all later as my working time has just started.

I know how that goes. We don't have enough hours in the day!

what a good idea, to start is very hard for everyone, you feel lost and I feel sorry some days,
Happy Thursday beautiful

Yes, it takes a while to make connections, doesn't it?
