Why Are Major Changes To Steemit Dependent From Small Users? Does Steem and Steem have growth potential or not?

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

When Steem drops, small users without Steem Power reduce their number of activities. The big players are closing in and they do not give anyone an upvote, small players have no interest in writing posts and comments. Steemit has about one million open accounts, someone has more profiles and rarely has only one profile. We have 37 whales, 238 Orcs, 1467 dolphins, we all have about 10,000 people with Steem Power. We have about 60 000 daily activities, on average we write 5 to 10 comments and posts and this means that we have only 10 000 active users. We need to realize that small users do not have the money to invest in Steem Power, they are important for the ecosystem because they promote Steemit and Steem and thus attract new users and investors. Think of the value of Steem from us, imagine that we have one million active users and 100,000 investors with strong Steem Power? Now the value of one Steem would be at least $ 30. Be open to support new users because our future depends on them.

Spammers are users who do not have the knowledge and confidence, they do not believe in themselves. New users need support and motivation every day until they start making profits on Steemit. The basic strategy we advise new users in live classes in Steem Schools https://discord.gg/q9VEn5n is to make a minimum of 50 comments and one post every day. They need to choose the users they like and who have Steem Power, write creative and honest comments and try to establish good communication and friendship with them. There are four different communication styles ( controller, promoter, supporter, analyzer) and we need to learn them because in this way we can better understand the point and character of bloggers. We need to understand the blogger, his wishes and emotions, his mission and the reasons why he writes this type of post. Then we have a complete overview and the ability to write the right comments that will open his heart, which means that we will be rewarded for our work. Do not pray for the upvote and helps, do not write short comments because nobody wants to give money to those who do not respect them.

Your Posts should raise your spirit and enthusiasm from readers. People feel the energy of truth, enthusiasm is contagious, and each word has its own power to lift on those who need motivation. The title should draw attention and the text should justify the trust of the title of the post. Be creative with writing titles, read inspirational titles in the newspapers, the Internet and create a unique value that will bring attention to the reader. People like to read surprises, drama, jokes, witty posts and useful information. Your post should solve a problem or remove obstacles to readers, you should encourage them and learn about further steps. If you want to make a big success on Steemit then be original, much better is a stupid original than a great copy. Here you have excellent headline tips on the picture, just do not forget that the post has to justify the title.

Knowledge based on experience has the greatest power. A large number of users who have a lot of Steem Power do not have time to learn new users how to make good posts and comments. Also, those successful bloggers who have created a career from blogging do not have enough time to devote to new users, because they need attention every day. The point is to help all new users, because Steemit and Steem succeed on them, soon there will be great competition and it will not be easy to gain new loyal users. Now is our time and the real responsibility to do more for Steemit marketing, also the main people need to create certain innovations that will help everyone to become even more successful. I believe that with the third smart media token we will experience a new evolution, the value of Steem will be raised to the star. Imagine when the value is 50 or $ 100, then you will become very rich, so make your strategy and daily work plan from which you will never give up.

The Steem Schools mission is to help people around the world to overcome poverty. We want to help and support the opening of online and offline schools all over the world. The best charity is when we give the right knowledge to people that they can earn money and live with a better quality of life. We now create teams and our discord channel has 7400 users, people recognize our mission because we are doing 24 hours with all our heart and potential. All who want to support the project are welcome, all new users who want to learn everything about Steemit and the business have an open door. I think I was on the live voice chat when you guys talked about this, though for a short time.
For me, this is a major problem on steemit. Most new users are either lost when they start because really almost everyone is trying to get ahead, no one is looking at the new user. So what does he do? He either gets frustrated after a few months and leaves or brushes the egos of popular steemians who are also looking out for their own interest and won't easily dish out upvotes because he or she wants to maintain their voting power. However, if all attention is polarised to just the big shots, then who would have time for the newbies? Even the newbies themselves don't read each other's post.
I think if things have to change then people need to be re-oriented. there needs to the interaction between the new comings, building themselves--that is one way. Those with high steempower can help to be engaging with a new user, but it should not be left to them, everyone needs to play an active part in building and stabilizing the steem ecosystem

I agree, i have tried to even get people in here and i say them everything, but this system still discourages people as they see that things are not quite equal here. I myself vote, comment as much as i can, and here are a lot of people who do too. But you sure have to get used to filtering through hundreds of money diggers here

100% I agree

Very good point my friend ! Do you want 50 000 SP and Steem valued at 1 USD or a little bit less let's say 35 000 and Steem valued at USD 30 ? Your total value will be usd 50 000 vs USD 1 000 000 ! We should think long term!

Awesome explanation my friend, thank you for great support.

My pleasure!

A noble mission and sound strategy! Help people help themselves and eliminate poverty.

And, I see you walk your talk - you post often, hold contests, and it seems you reply to everyone who comments!

I am focused on health. It takes quite a long time to find decent posts to comment on or reblog. Part of the problem is that steem doesn’t filter by language.

But I think you are suggesting to look at the introduce yourself posts instead, correct?

Good post every noobie should read. And learn.
Resteemed.

I totally agree with with you @oldtimer the post is very educative and enlightening for the noobie and also for the big guys with Steem Power because we all need each other for the ecosystem to survive .great post @dobartim

Thank you for great support, my friend.

this is very good, we small user desperately need help from big people, with us this small user steemit spread to all world, they always promote steemit.
from that we are looking forward to help from all of you.

for now I am trying to get a lot of SP, by the way I am power down, because now the steem price is higher than SBD, when the price will be stable, I will return SBD to steem and I will power back up again, so my SP will be more than ever.

I only invest in Steem and Steem power. See you on the top

I really hope you always support me.

Believe in yourself

thanks.
I really believe in myself here, I am very confident someday I will also like those who are great, thanks again for support.

this is something we ned many whales to support our project it would be fantastic we should not be just greedy to make money for our self we should help all others to get knowledge , giving knowledge not need any money , hope they give the support to this amazing project.

We win together my friend

Basically good things comes when you devote your time and efforts completely. And steemit is unique platform in the internet. Some others are trying to be like steemit but Steemit at TOP.

Yeah, I agree on you writing. When price drops then those things happens. But as we all know steemit is not much old. So people are joining it day by day and community growing up. And in near future we will see a good growth in steem.

By the way i am a traveler and i have started my travel blog, and you may like it- Travel Series (Part #3) St. Lucia Iceland, A Romantic Getaway

See you on the top

This is really cool update sir, we all needed one another the small user and the investor. The number of activities on steemit determine the price and growth of steemit and steem. Lead us right, see you in class.

See you in the class

It is so true that you have to devote some time to commenting others when you are new here. When I first started out I was only commenting to comments on my own posts. It was when I started to get out in the community and interacting with others that I got more notice and attention. I would consider my posts eclectic in the sense that I have a lot of interests and try to incorporate them all into my blog. I lack consistency toward any one thing (poetry, 3Dmodeling, digital art, etc.) but I do have a few followers toward each that are fairly loyal. Now I try to support new users when I can with upvotes and comments. Sometimes I spread my vote way too thin but I figure every little bit of support I can give sets off a positive reaction. This post is really great advice to all Steemians. I think anybody who reads it could take some knowledge from it.

Keep going, see you on the top.

Thank you very much for your nice words.

Hello, Mr. @dobartin
Thanks for this post to support the new Estemians like me who are struggling to stay firm on the platform, although sometimes I fall, then I read this type of information that drives me to continue
I liked this phrase of yours: "New users need support and motivation every day until they start to get benefits in Steemit" your comments in our post are important to follow each day. @gabrielbg

See you in Steem Schools

@dobartim This is an excellent example of what your schools have taught me. I have made some new relationships with bloggers who have similar interests as me and it has been phenomenal to get to know them as people. I've even had a few ask me about steem schools because they see my postings about the invitations about them everyday.

This is a good strategy for new users and it will help new steemit users to not get discouraged. You are a true businessman and this can be seen in your many posts about marketing and marketing strategies. I am fortunate enough for you to share your knowledge with us all!

Be persistent, see you on the top

Yes, sir! Thank you so much for your help!

50 comments a day? Easy if they're short and spammy, but otherwise, who has time for that? In my experience out of the 10-15 people who I know who have signed up for Steemit, not even one stuck around consistently. Steemit is a special place, that takes a long term attitude that most people these days just don't really have. Yet they still post on Farcebook every day lol

On Facebook all you can get are short and spammy comments. Steemit encourages people to give more. But yeah, 50 comments a day seems like working it.

Try my strategy and see results.

I'm here long term, but for a new person, 50 comments a day is too overwhelming. And either their voting power will be dust, or, they'll be leaving comments without upvoting, which is frowned upon on here. More realistic is 10-15 comments a day.

I make between 100 and 200 comments daily in the beginning.

To make even 50 meaningful, thought out comments a day would take at least 2-3 hours, I think most people don't have that kind of time to devote to a social media site, and when new people think they have to do that, maybe that's why they leave?

Thank you for enlightening me. For couple of things you mentioned I already had a similar ideas (although I am still almost an illiterate in this crypto world) which means I am learning on this platform.

Step by step, see you on the top

You are doing a great job @dobartim keep it up

See you on the top

me too wanna see you on top dear @dobartime

Useful points here. I think networking and trying to make connections and friends on Steem is important not only from the perspective of getting more monetary value out of the system but also for getting emotional and social value out of it. I think it can be too easy to forget that the point of Steem is not just to make as much money as possible.

"the point of Steem is not just to make as much money as possible" - i would hope so too, I fear we're a very small minority here though!

you may be right. And I get it obviously the drawing factor of Steem is the money but I don't think you have to lose sight of everything else in the pursuit of it.

for me the main drawing factor is not the money but the very important and fascinating experiment in how to monetize content and influence that is unfolding here.

call me idealistic, but my experiences in the music industry leave me in no doubt that hype is temporary, quality is permanent. i'm here to hopefully contribute some quality content, and see of what value it proves itself to be, organically.

i figure the more time i spend trying to game the system, upvoting myself, spending on promotion etc, the more i am actually obscuring the real value of my contributions.

never been much good at blowing my own trumpet, so i'm just going to enjoy writing, learning and interesting conversations. if my contributions are quality, they'll find the minds that need them, and if there are enough of those, the rewards should follow.

if not, at least i'll have had fun and learned a whole lot, and i'm with Einstein on this one: "it's only work if you're not enjoying it"

hope you have lots of fun and make lots of money here too :)

Thank you very much for this post, I will keep it to read it more calmly.
I hope to use the recommendations you mention and so I can expand my material and grow within steemit.
I really like this platform because it has given me a freedom of expression that I believe I have not achieved in any other current social network.

Greetings from Macedonia

If steemit users continue to be the object of things like this, then steemit users will also drop. because in one post and comment have no influence while they are tiring to promote steem. and make stemians not be daring on steem.

I believe in Steemit and Steem, keep going

Well said Bro
The newbies are the leaders of tomorrow
More attention should be placed on them

We win together

"We have 37 whales, 238 Orcs, 1467 dolphins, we all have about 10,000 people with Steem Power."
This is the problem, it is a circle and between the same people money and votes exchanges. While good blogs or articles gets zero votes others gets hundreds or thousands dollars and votes.
That discourages new comers. There is no fairness and equality.

Steemit is a business network, that's the main reason and we should not be angry at investors. I hope there will be some changes that will give more opportunities for new users. Welcome to Steem Schools if you want to earn 5 to 10 SBD daily https://discord.gg/q9VEn5n

I find it disturbing, it was the same numbers almost 2 years ago and yet there would be 1,000,000 subscribers

I'm doing my part, I respond to all my comments to engage with the people who follow me.

I am new to this page, but I like it, so I want it to grow and to grow with it.

That being said, I support anything that helps to make Steemit great.

We win together

Just winning is boring, anyone can do that.

I think that Steemit and everything it represents has the potencial to actually reshape how people think about and use the internet in the future and there is much more greatness to be had in being a part of that.

This is incisive. Thank you @dobartim for sharing. You have renewed my hope. My lasts posts attracted less than 0.1$. I was not encouraged. I felt like giving up. This from you is greatly refreshing. I'm going back to work here. I believe things will improve. Thanks again.

When Steem drops, small users without Steem Power should post even more. They will receive more steem :D

Excellent conclusion

I was saying this all along.. the whales and strong users are killing the system. i have been here for around 7 months now and i was saying the same. the new user has no way to grow. for example. i have spend some time here and no body gives a sh1t about what i post, only time you get upvote is when you pay for it, all the upvotes are "FOR SALE" and if you can pay it only then you can get and upvote and even if you pay for it, you won't get enough upvote to get your money back so actually when you paying for a small upvote and all your deposited SBD will be soon gone without giving you enough returns and you'll end up like me. and then after getting fed up from the system, you'll occasionally visit steemit.. it won't be of any interest anymore.. these upvote bots are a cancer to the system and this steemit project is going to crash land soon..

Be part of Steem Schools and learn about Steemit and Steem

hi @dobartim Still with me @arul101 has seen amazing postings from you, but blog me there are also some interesting posts

Keep going

Come to SteemSchools, this is our hope to be good Steemians. See you there! Then, we all win together!

When you are holding a biggish piece of the pie (and benefiting from it), it's not so easy always to consider how you might benefit from helping make the pie bigger. I only hold crumbs, but I think a bigger pie clearly benefits all Steemit users, big and small. Thanks for showing why, and how.

Thank you @dobartim for taking time from your busy schedule for the effort in enlightening and motivating the newbies on how to get to the top. I'm really inspired by your write up. I promise to put your strategy into practice. See you at the top. I look forward to your writing.

It’s a wonderful initiative and I agree with the idea that small users are what drives this platform forward!

I have been here for a while and all I got is around 800 steem, earned in around 9 months, while actively commenting and posting.
Some people have 30k steem, does it mean it will take me 30 or more years to reach that? It's a bit frustrating, but I'm still blogging because it's satisfying to challenge myself and I like the steem community here.
How do I see if I'm a dolphin or a minnow? How do I see who are the 37 whales?

Very good point my friend ! Do you want 50 000 SP and Steem valued at 1 USD or a little bit less let's say 35 000 and Steem valued at USD 30 ? Your total value will be usd 50 000 vs USD 1 000 000 ! We should think long term!
I like thus post

God bless you sir nice one

Best post of the day to me.
The activity of the new babies this trial period has decrease.
We hardly post again, since people are conserving their VP.

Nevertheless encouragement for new user is very paramount. Most new users come to this platform and drop after some time. We really need to encourage those with good plans and quality content.
This is a wake up charge to everyone of us.

God bless you at @dobartim for your encouragement and help so far
