Since now this platform is Open Source I would like to ask developers to add a PM (Personal Messages) on Steemit.
All social platforms allow users to send personal messages, and I just don't understand why it has not yet been added to the Steemit.
Furthermore, the community really needs it, because right now people send messages using comments of the SD transfers.
So, what I suggest: add a page in the profile section that will be hidden from the public. This page should contain a list of received and sent messages. Users must be able to respond, delete and compose new messages. Received messages should have a flag icon to mark spammers.
I really hope that the developers will notice this post.
A work-around solution is here, but your solution would make for happy UI: just need a Steemit dev to implement! https://steemit.com/steemit/@aaseb/private-messaging-in-steemit-is-already-here
That's totally not a solution. I'm talking about private messages.
I think the problem here simply is that private messaging will never be a part of steem, even though it could become a part of steemit.com. But the developers right now are busy finetuning steem, so the development of additional steemit.com-features may take a while.
The Steem blockchain already includes private messaging and development is in progress to support it on steemit.com.
oh. I didn't know that. :)
Steemit is still very new and with the growth of the userbase growing so quickly, the developers are kept very busy! They have said private messages will be here. It's just taking time to build along with so many other features. We only just got the Feed! Great things are coming we just have to be patient.
