Thanks to perusing through this site I learned about an app that actually pays you in bitcoin just for walking! Considering that it came out a long time ago it's pretty clear that I am late to the game. But since I hadn't heard about it perhaps there are others on here as well who haven't heard about it so that has inspired me to create my own post about it.
The app, Bitwalking, was created by Franky Imbesi and Nissan Bahar. They have said that the app enables anyone in the world to take place in the global market place because currently there are many people without access to currency. With this new app anyone will be able to generate currency (BTC) simply by walking. They can then use the BTC to make exchanges within the in-app marketplace or trade it in for cash.
It is so amazing to see peaceful innovation improving the lives of many people around the world. It's clear that there is a growing trend toward sites and apps that are going to generate an income for the user or enable the user to monetize the content that they produce. A number of revenue-sharing sites have already been established that seek to reward users for their content creation by splitting the advertisement profits with them. Some have already been shut down or "gone dark," while others are still thriving, and no doubt there are still many more to come.

Thank you for this interesting post. Would this app pay you in a currency that is not BTC like steemit? How would they find themselves. Would they get credit from some ONG or international scheme from carbon reduction?
Has anyone here tried this out? Most of these apps that pay bitcoin for doing something are really not worth it as they pay too low. Its a great concept but the payouts make them a gimmick.
