This project has me absolutely stoked for the future of cryptocurrencies!! If you don't already know the Stellar network is completely decentralized which in and of itself isn't that special. After all isn't this supposed to be one of the main attractions?? The way stellar is going to put their network together it should allow for practically seamless transition between Lumen and several different fiat currencies. Another major feature of the Stellar network is that it was spawned from Ripple tech. Yep, that's right. We are talking decentralized XRP essentially. With transaction speeds quoted between 1,000 and 10,000 tps you're looking at possibly a little under half the transaction speed of the Visa network in much less time.
This one should hardly need an introduction. Litecoin easily makes my list of top cryptocurrencies for several reasons. First, I would like to say that I believe LTC has flown under the radar for some time now. Sitting at 56 tps without any upgrades to the network means their network could handle the transactions on both the ETH and BTC chains which have tps speeds of 20 and 7 tps respectively. Recent news of two new LTC transaction processors, Litepay and Litepal, also have me very bullish on this coins future. With future advancements in their technology and Charlie Lee at the helm this project should have a very bright future.
Our final coin for today's article is going to be Digibyte. This coin may not be the talk of the town but it might be soon. This little known project has been around since at least late 2013 when the beta version was launched. Since then the team has built the largest network of nodes that any cryptocurrency has been able to amass to date. To add to that they built this network on some fairly impressive technology allowing for mining with five different algorithms. The faster block times coupled with the massive network make this one of the most secure coins currently available. Those looking for the next level of security should look no further than DGB.
Thanks for reading. I truly hope you enjoyed this information. As always this is my opinion and not to be taken as investment advice. Do your own research before putting your hard earned money into anything!!!
