WIP comes from "Work In Progress". Although the app is not (yet) usable by any standards, I thought it would be useful to share a little bit of where I am in terms of development.
The version that you can test if you're part of the alpha group has now:
- complete user management flow: join, validate, login, logout, password reset, check if the user is actually a valid user on the Steemit blockchain
- basic community management: create community with basic types: equal split, sheriff, sheriff + deputies
- using composer to manage dependencies with Steemit related packages (blockchain PHP API, mostly, which uses cURL and websockets, at the moment).
And the mandatory screenshots:
I'm expecting the next update to have basic community management and posting features and, by the way it went so far in terms of development, I think we can have this by the end of the month. It's still a one man project and the time is scarce.
Many thanks to all the testers who are patiently waiting for my updates.
If you want to know more details about this project, check out the initial announcement. Please note that at the moment I cannot take more alpha testers, thanks for the understanding.

WoW @dragosroua sir what nice thing you share with us it really helps the all steemit community, i appreciate your effort you put into this and hope you get steem.city project done soon.
At first glance this looks very good. Would love to know more about how it works, especially how the neighbourhoods relate to posts or tags etc. Will you be increasing the user pool at any stage before going to beta?
When Steem rolls out the official community features, are you worried about compatibility issues?
On the contrary, I see synergy.
Cool.
I think this will be a really nice tool to use. Can't wait to see it live.
thanks for updating it looks impressive
Nice to see some movement in the project. I know you've been more than busy lately(I think this is your default status, because it was never different since I know you). Slack is ready to receive instructions ;)
Thank for updating about it look really impressive.

Hey @dragosrua! Thanks to @alexvan I found this article.
Could you explain what steem.city is exactly about? Is it an application that helps you to find steemians that are close to you? Like a world map where you can register as a steemit community member? Are you including fields of interest there?
The reason for my questions is that I'm thinking about bulding a "World Surf Map" where steemit users who are sufers can register their local surfing spot. It's supposed to be kind of a travel map.
If you want to read more about it, the last post in my blog explains the idea :-)
Let's keep in touch!
Great post, thanks for sharing! I gave you a vote. I hope you enjoy it.
