Hello steemians, good to be here as I celebrate my new status on steemit, I can not really express How excited I am tonight with my 50 reputation which is marked as a golden jubilee if it was to be ones age 😊.
300+ followers, what a big deal to me I must say, I must confess I bless the day I joined steemit. But i must say every sucessful steemian always have a story to tell pertaining to their growth in the community because so far so good I have mine.
Starting with how I joined:
The story of steemit got to me from a friend @eurogee , we are both from Nigeria, that very night he told me about a new platform he will like me to join, normally the period he did, no Nigerian will have trust in any online platform then, most Nigerians can relate to what I meant, thanks to ponzi palava. After so many doubt I had to just learn about the new platform through my friend @eurogee 's WhatsApp seminar, afterwards I registered and was tutored about the way it works...
My challenges:
I must confess, when I joined I was not having much expectations, until I saw how well people were doing, then i felt my first post will do a magic 😃, but lo and behold, I got few cents which was supposed to discourage someone who saw other getting 3 figures worth of SDB on their posts
I also had the problem of getting what to post, how to get my works referenced, how to cook it and make it look good, getting a good title among others
Then, I got another good friend of mine @cheetah who gave my second and third post a very warm welcome with accurate comments and link 😃.
Many more challenges came which could have discouraged a newbie but thanks to the support I got from the community I am still around till now. 😉
My boosts:
Yes!!, after so many ups and downs I must confess about my boosts,
- I was the stubborn type towards sucess
- The community was accommodating and everybody in the community always wants to help the newbies and minnows out there with the fullest support.
*I leant from the leader in the community - I got into contests which winning it was actually a real boost
- I have my self among nice companies 😉.
This and many more actually what what helped me so far on the platform, which I really appreciate
What I gained from steemit apart from the earning
I actually gained many things from the community like how to relate with people (socialization), how to write out good contents (still improving on that though lol), friendships and I also learnt not to give up among others.
How I intent to give back to the community
I will love to give back to the community because the community did same thing to me and in doing so, I will start spreading the news about steemit around everywhere I find myself, in and outside my country by taking part in @steem-promos and also give my effort and support in newbie trainings and invitations to the platform as well as give aways to them when I can
Appreciations
I will not do without showing my profound gratitude to people that really dedicated their time and effort towards my development so far, directly or through their posts people or communities like:
@eurogee @danielsaori @stellabella @surpassinggoogle @destinysaid @oluwoleolaide @maryfavour @steem-Lagos @dragonslayer109 @smyle @epikcoin @smyle @ehiboss @gbenga @euronation nigerian, Africa and steemit communiy at large, @manymore😃 can't really end the list .. That will be another post
Finally I will love to say a big thank you to all my followers out there I love you all.
Once again, I say thank you 🙌
Thank you for stopping by 😃
Welcome @dray91eu
To a community that accepts and promotes individuals who's goal is to be successful and grow, while learning new skills and making friends from a diversified range of places you could never think to imagine.
What makes your content special is you, and the experiences you have to share with our members.
I'm a massive fan of sports not only because I like to see skill and athletic ability but that you can take a group of people from totally different backgrounds that may not even speak the same language to share in the enjoyment of a common interest.
Steemit is a sport for all to share and enjoy where you can feel comfortable talking about anything you desire.
Welcome to the team :)
Congratulations mate!

"irst of all, welcome to the Matrix, @dray91eu - a fair warning upfront, though - SteemIt is HIGHLY addictive and there is no known cure at this point :P
Like you, I was skeptical at first when joining SteemIt - I didn't think it would be worth my time, I was scared of failing, I thought my writing would suck, and I thought I'd be the laughing stock of the community.
I quickly proved myself wrong. SteemIt has helped me tremendously - I was able to open up about my previous life and how I used to be a heroin addict (something I NEVER would have shared with anyone), I learned how to become a more humble person and put others first, but most importantly - my faith in humanity was restored.
People on SteemIt have shown me a side of humanity that I thought was lost forever. You may have noticed this too. People doing random acts of kindness is a common thing. Here, it's an economy of thanks - we share and show our appreciation by giving, instead of expecting to receive.
It's a beautiful thing.
We seem to share similar hobbies as well - I LOVE teaching others and helping them improve, learning is as important to my survival as the blood flowing through my veins, and I also am a web designer! Maybe we could link up - I'm always looking for graphic designers to send some work to ;)
Funnily enough I'm also an acrophobic - I am absolutely TERRIFIED of heights. And needles. The two of them scare the shit out of me.
I would like to say that if you ever need guidance, help, or someone to chat with - I, along with the rest of my group #TheUnmentionables, would be more than happy to help. We are all about community, friendship, and GIVING to others.
A very belated "Welcome" to SteemIt, and I hope you succeed at everything you work towards my friend. We need more positive and motivated individuals like you to help make this place even better than it already is.
Much love - Panda."
great article bro
