I don't plan on switching to another engine. I'll be using the Unity platform. I have far too much time and money invested in assets and tools for it. Many thousands of dollars.
I do want to interface with steem. If your OS can handle the Linux based Unity builds then my plans are to typically also aim for Linux for my games.
Windows and Linux definite.
Mac = maybe. I don't like how Apple will sometimes cripple and remove features and then expect fixing the game after that when they broke it to be the game dev's job.
Yes our OS can handle unity builds, it isn't complete quite yet but it's almost there. RedeauxOS isn't going to be a regular distro, it will only be installed on the hardware we build for it. The minimum specs being an Intel i3 CPU, 16 GB of ddr4 ram, and Nvidia 1060 based GPU, with a m.2 NVMe boot drive. This will be the lowest specs on our hardware and it will be smaller than a cable box.
But will also have 2 other models planned as well and they will get better and better.
The OS app store is being testing but it is functioning, we will be ready to open the developer's portal and start shipping out units in November.
