As you may or may not have known, there was a Steemit meetup in New York City on Wednesday night. While I was under the impression that this was a strictly Steemit meetup, it turns out that it was a meeting for all blockchain enthusiasts. Some of the people there had never even heard of Steemit. But, of course, everyone that heard about it for the first time instantly said they will be making an account as soon as possible.
Everyone in this community was super friendly and went out of their way to introduce themselves and talk about blockchain and Steemit. It was a great learning experience and a chance to make new friends and connections in the area. I spent a lot of time talking to @nickytothenines. He is full of brilliant marketing ideas, you should just check out his first post on here.
I brought my friend Evan with me to this meetup. If you read my previous post about my friend Evan and his awesome clothing company, he's the same guy. Evan knew nothing about blockchain or steemit. I just brought him since he's a close friend in the city and he likes happy hours. But he was instantly making connections about his clothing company and even talked to @nickytothenines on the phone the next day for a while talking about some clothing/business strategies. It just goes to show no matter how little you might know about blockchain, the community is so inviting and always trying to do something new and cool with it.
Here is a group photo we took at the end (same photo in the beginning of the post). We should have taken it earlier because by this time a lot of people had already left. But you can see Evan and I on the right, @andrarchy and @nickytothenines in the middle, and @hansikhouse in the hat to the left. Unfortunately I didn't get everyone else's usernames, but they were all great people.
There are meetings like this all the time in tons of different areas. If you haven't been to a meetup like this, I highly suggest you put it on your to-do list. It was such an awesome time and I'm excited to go to another one soon and meet more of this lovely community!
As always, live long and steem on!
Friends are all arround us now :D

Great work! Sounds like you all had fun and had some good conversations.
