One of the first sayings I can recall hearing is, "don't judge a book by its cover". This simple saying has stuck with me since the first time I heard it, but it's usually the last piece of advice I go to when I probably should use it. This saying of wisdom has been passed down through the ages, and can be used in almost any humanistic judgement that we make.
Lately while exploring this new exciting platform I've noticed myself gravitating towards the blogs that have pictures. I truly know it's a natural human instinct to go to anything that sparks our interest first, but I realized I was missing out on some great blogs.
Don't get me wrong I'm all for the pictures! I love beautiful people, funny GIF's, and great photography just as much as the next person, but there is something that is very special about words! I can get lost in my imagination reading a post that paints a picture with only words! It's an instinct that humans rarely care to use sometimes.
I'm not saying I'm not going to look at some sexy chicks post, or the funny video that some crazy dude puts up, but I'm making a deal with myself today! I'm not going to judge a book by its cover on steemit. I want to enjoy great blogs!
