Hey, you see those posts of attractive and scantily clad women in exotic locales? See how they get the shit voted out of them? Wanna know why?
Marketing!
Those posts are no different from this crap:
Sexy woman not included with purchase.
See, here's the thing my minnow friends, whales want this community to grow. They want it to grow BADLY. Because that 5 million dollars sitting in their wallets is all so much internet funny money unless this community grows. They can't cash that steem power out quickly or easily, and if they started cashing out all at once then the value of the currency would tank. So they want this place to grow, and to do that it needs to attract the general public. And guess what the general public likes?
SUCCESS AND TITS!
Yeah, the general public LOVES rich successful people and sex in general, but it is especially relevant here. Whales wanna push the image of Steem as a hang out for rich, good looking, successful people who have chosen to be here and are backing steem. Because they want to conflate the two; they want to rub millionaire supermodels on Steem until the general public unconsciously connects them together. They want to project an aura of success because people are drawn to success. I mean, if that millionare supermodel is saying steem is great, then there is obviously gotta be something to this right? Those threads are like product testimonials, telling anyone who wanders onto Steemit that this is the place they want to be. This is the place they want to dump some money into and tell their friends about.
Does that mean I should get some implants and rob a bank?
Nah. Well, maybe. Just like in real life you can substitute being talented or interesting for being good looking. Point of it is that those top voted trending posts are the first thing people will see when they click onto this site. It's their first impression and it could make the difference between them just clicking back to facebook or deciding to see what all this is about. So if you wanna make it up there you gotta be attractive, one way or another. You can do it by writing an article about how steem gave you tons of money and how investing in this place is totally worth it. You can do it by having some sort of instantly engaging subject matter and a great title that draws them in (Like say, "Mammary misdemeanor: How I robbed the 7/11 to pay for my breast implants"). Or you can do it by playing to the lizard brain and use sex, drugs, violence, scandal or any combination there of.
It doesn't matter what you do so long as it will be attractive to new users and as such, attractive to whales with a vested interest in Steem not dropping into fiscal hell next to Zimbabwe dollars.
The irony here is that the three rocks pictured on the bill are probably worth more than the bill itself.
Thats it. Thats all. Go be interesting, attractive people.

If it works...but if it's too transparent, you'll find yourself flagged.
Says the guy with 100k in the bank. HMMMMM
shhh T&A was my secret sauce ;)
I agree perception is extremely important to new users, and I would also appreciate voting up the many thoughtful articles by women who don't choose to use sex appeal as clickbait. I'm all about quality posts here, but if people disagree they are free to vote as they wish which is a beautiful thing.
Well those knockers got my vote...
LoL!!!!!
Wow, ok I guess this works.
edit: moonflower used fivver btw also.
It really works. But doesn't it fade with time?
