EOS buy is still very confusing to me.

I didn't understand how the buy and lock up period worked. I've watched a few videos and I get the basic understanding now.
EoS has shown super growth but this is nit organic and we will see a dump soon. But the good thing is that EOS is climbing the marketcap ranks which shows its great future ahead.
and more coins will come on the market, so i expect it to go down as well, anyway I wanted to have 1000 of it, just to hold :)
Tezos is also coming so get your seed out by selling some EOS in profit and hold the remaining. So you can get some Tezos as well.

Steem could run on EOS, in theory. My concern would be if account conflicts occur. It seems like EOS would have to reserve Steem account names, unless accounts are app-specific, but that does not seem generally desirable.
Interesting, question is who decides this?
I expect it would require consensus among both Steem developers and witnesses, and EOS developers and witnesses. I think it would likely need advance planning to happen. My gut feeling is that it won't happen due to the logistics of getting all the stakeholders on board, but we'll see a Steem clone running directly on EOS.
By the time that happens though, Steem will have an enormous head start on EOS in terms of users. Maybe we will see some other compromise in terms of interoperability.
Shall I buy this coin? Or that coin? Every new coin seems to be attractive like every new pretty girl in the blog. But nobody tells me what coin to sell for buying annother. Go with Mary, leave Pamela?
I don't think I've ever told anyone to buy or sell a coin. I think everyone needs to be comfortably familiar with what they're investing in, so they can know whether or not they're going to dump or hold the bag for a while when the coin inevitably tanks.
Thank for your answer. Perhaps you misunderstood me. I only wanted to add annother thought about the gorgeous "zoo" of coins. The recommendations are mostly buy this, buy that, but nobody tells what to sell instead. The future of every coin is uncertain. In general, I appreciate your deep knowledge about the cryptocoins and their specific characteristics.

I heard someone can build a better platform using EOS but I am a steemer for life unless people stop upvoting me haha
As I understand Steem and Bitshares can use the EOS platform to perform and scale better in the future.
I'm no expert lol ... but i heard that may not be the case as bitshares thinking of getting a stack in EOS. Who knows, all this programming stuff hurts my head haha

Honestly, everything at the moment now is just pure speculative activity. We don't know who will eventually win: ETH or EOS. The best way to "win" is to invest in both or don't invest at all. Time will tell.
Invest in money you can afford to lose and don't get caught. Steem on everybody and enjoy the ride.
If you invest in both - win on one and lose on the other - you haven't won.. There is a reason why BTC and ETH are the top coins and its not simply speculation. EOS needs time to mature, "prove its worth" and "find its price" - is it going to raise 30 billion and overtake Ethereum ? I doubt it.
well, you need to understand that there's a spread between the two and they are not entirely and perfectly correlated. Like you mention, you "win" one and "lose" one. However, if you "win" more than than you "lose," you still win.
If they solve the problem with the scalability, the sky is the limit! ETH is still on one chain and slow already. Read @dan 's latest post about it https://steemit.com/eos/@dan/eos-developer-s-log-stardate-20176-30 they doing thousands of transaction per second already!
He's an excellent developer - I don't think anyone doubts that.. He probably dreams in C++ ;)

Thanks for info, I think part of the reason atleast for this is because it was recently added to Kraken and believe it is on coinbase too, so both main exchanges have it and that is very rare for anything to be on both platforms at once. Lets hope it is a constant pump for everyone who has bought! :)

Ich schätze deinen Report nicht nur wegen der aktuellen Kennzahlen, sondern weil du mich oft auf aktuelle Themen aufmerksam machst wie z.B. heute auf EOS. Weil so viele Leute deinen Report lesen, entwickelt sich dann auch eine informative Diskussion, aus der man weiteren Nutzen ziehen kann.
Mit der Altcoinschwemme bin ich nicht so ganz glücklich. Wie soll man sich verhalten, wenn alle drei Wochen der nächste Superdupercoin auf den Markt geschmissen wird. Meistens landen sie sofort auf einem der ersten 10 Plätze und tauchen dann erst einmal wieder unter. Investieren würde ich erst dann, wenn ein bestimmter Coin über mehrere Monate einen Platz oben in der Tabelle behaupten kann. Steem gehört dazu, DASH, ETH, Bitshares auch noch.
Da gebe ich Dir schon recht, im Moment gibts ja jeden Tag einen ICO, ich halte davon auch nicht so viel, EOS halte ich aber dennoch fuer einen guten Coin, da er das Skalierungs Problem von Ethereum umgeht. Da Cryptos immer beliebter werden muss meiner Meining nach auch die Transaktionsgewschwindigkeit mithalten, wenn EOS das das einhaelt was es verspricht, kann es nur nach oben gehen :) Ausserdem hat Dan Larimer ja auch Steemit ins leben gerufen, also von daher glaube ich schon das EOS ein Erfolg wird :)

BTC is going up so the value of Steem in $ goes up, Steem itself in BTC is still going down....
Interesting i didn't know that Steem was connected with BTC.
All the Altcoins are conected to BTC, if BTC goes up in $ value, all the Altcoins are too ( al least most of the times )

I would say it is an confusing ICO :) I didn't bought on the ICO I bought at Kraken 2 days ago.
I've got 47 EOS Tokens, small fry by comparison to yourself; but very excited!
If EOS is worth in the Future what ETH is now, 47 Tokens are worth quite a lot :) I had to buy it, I thought I don't make the mistake again what I have done with ETH, bought 250 ETH at 1$ and sold it for 3$......
