Down the memory lane to get inspired

in #steemit6 years ago

I think many of you share the same dilemma with me - "which photos look the best, and are worth posting along with some lines here on Steemit?". And if you are not making tons of photos while spending the usual day you probably search for your inspiration in your past photos saved somewhere.

For today I decided, to make a short description of my process of making a post. So... When I'm in the mood and rested enough to make a post I make a plan:

I start by browsing through my photos on the phone (if I'm writing my post with it), or on the computer to get inspired.

When I decide which will be my main topic of the day I wrap the story around it. For instance - last month I'm in the state of browsing for some last minute vacations for my family. Every spare minute I have I am browsing the web, searching for the best for the right price. But because we are starting to be a bit picky the decision isn't easy. Reading descriptions of hotels, watching photos of them, beaches, rooms, etc. it's getting hard because they are starting to look the same. That's why I decided, that today I want to see something different. The green color to rest my eyes after a long month.

So, back to my tips... When I decide which photos I will use, and the general story I want to tell I split the post to sections. Like for instance - I love reading books - long sentences with a good story. Just the perfect thing to do to rest my soul. But here on Steemit, I think people don't like just to read long sections of sentences, with no photos in between. At least for me, I can say that 100 percent. I'm a bit tired in the evenings when I have time to be here, and I want to read interesting posts of others (since I don't own Facebook profile anymore to read nonsense. :P ). But only words would make me sleepy, so I love to see some photos which firstly - breaks up the long stories, make the reader rest his eyes on it, and last but not least, make them curious about what the writer will write, and show them later on.

On the other hand, I noticed that some people aren't quite good with words, but they make it up to all by showing their amazing talents. Like art, cooking skills, yoga poses, etc... So that's why don't be scared of Steemit, don't think that if you aren't good with the words you shouldn't post here... Rubish... Express yourself, show your best side to the world around you. Believe me, Steemit is a place, where people are keener to each other. Where you can really be what you are. You never know how everything will turn out. Maybe you will show your talent here, and you will get an amazing promotion from the powerful people. Who knows?

Nobody, of course. But if you don't even try, how will you know?

I hope that with this post I showed you a quick tip on how to get started with writing a post when your mind is blank... Photos can help you a lot. With photos, everything changes. And you never know, when your photo will inspire someone else to do, try or experience something they didn't dare to.#

Good night my friends. Have a splendid Friday, and weekend ahead.

Same here. Good tips and nice photos :) Have a nice weekend!!!

About half the time I start by looking at photos for an idea or theme. But many times I have an idea or theme and I will try to shoot some content to use around the idea.
