I myself don't reply to all the comments on my post anymore either
one reason is - many of them are either posted seconds after my post went up and mostly didn't even read my post so the comment's irrelevant plus I can't even understand what the heck some of those comments mean
it's hard to look for ourselves on others.. let it be ..
go on and focus on what you do best here

I think it's been worthwhile bringing these issues up... Clearly it's a talking point now, considering how many people have shared their views on this comment thread! Also it's good to give the opportunity every now and then to let off steam (steem.. hehe). This isn't for the attention of whales of the selfish lot... I'm well aware they probably didn't read this. This is for the rest of us, the people who still care about community. We may not have a massive amount of power, but together we're stronger and can influence the direction of Steemit's future... unless we say and do nothing and let the powers prevail. We could all just shut up and hope things improve without discussing anything, but that's so passive and we as a community we're responsible for taking things in a good direction. In the 'real world' too many people put up with the influence of those with power, and look where it gets us. Not only do we live like peasants but we think and act like them too. All hail the powerful, may I lick your shoes please. It's not as easy as simply putting these issues behind us, because they're current! Not resolved yet! Neither can I carry on blogging if no-one is reading... People need to be reminded to read. But hey, not everyone will agree with my position, and it's not like I complain about things very often! :-)
