Steemit is all about connections. Today I am looking to connect with some new interesting authors.
Yesterday I took a a close look at the author payouts over the month of April and May. There have been some interesting trends and minnows seem to be getting better payouts for their posts which is great for Steemit. Read more about this in Steemit Payout Analysis. Overall post payouts have sky-rocketed this month with the increase in the price of STEEM. I hope this is an early indicator of things to come.
Interesting Authors
I am always looking for a new interesting people to follow. Many can be found on the "#introduceyourself" tag, so head over there if you havent been there in a while.
This morning I also looked at ratio of Payouts to Votes to identify some new accounts to follow. The top ten showed some new accounts I had not come across before.
@jademont, @steem-mag, @tonesquare, @lhy are new accounts for me, but a few more are reminders of people I should be checking out some more.

Definitely @lemouth is my favorite. I am new to this and I love the amount of valuable content that can be found.
I'm still pretty new , might be fun to watch a minnow flop around and grow bigger fins. Shoot I still have not even done my introduction as of yet. I shall have it done by this weekend.

Honestly, I'm my own favorite author. That's only because I just write about whatever is in my mind. I have a hard time sticking to one subject that gets boring. Here, have a sample.

Part of what I love about steemit is that when you write, or post you often end up learning and growing as part of the process. It certainly is a great motivator. I even posted my goals for 2017 on steemit, indelibly linked in the blockchain. I will check out your challenge and you blog.
Oh nice, I love goals and motivations! I just recently read some books about goal making and really want to try it if it can help with what I want to achieve! Thank you for you nice response. This is quality content and very inspiring for us minnows. I would love feedback on things I could be doing better with my blog. I have been working hard to get myself out there and interact endlessly with the platform. I found some success so far and know it is due to the work I have put in. I have 236 followers in just under 3 weeks of being here and am averaging about 2 SBD per post right now. Just wondering if there is anything I am missing that will put me on the radar of more of the community. Again, thank you for posts like this. Wow 236 followers in 3 weeks thats great, it took me nearly 3 months to get that I think.
I'll check out your posts and I will be sure to let you know if I notice anything but it sounds like your doing great. It can take time to build up followers and regular payouts. I still find it very hit and miss but persistence is key.
