The upvote value formula is way too complex for my brain. Is it designed so to mimic the real life or just because devs are thinking in formulas? ☺️

And the value is displayed in dollars to further complicate things. How can a newbie without any crypto knowledge grasp all this?

We've got to find a way to make crypto, especially Steemit, less geekier.
