I hope you're able to use the readability check in the future. It can be very helpful when writing to a general audience.

Alternatively, someone I was in undergrad with said they had a professor one time who wouldn't accept a paper if the grade level was below 12. I don't know if I agree with this approach, but it is rather humorous to think about students hitting the thesaurus because the grade level of their paper isn't high enough, haha.

That's hilarious!! Because, in the business world you are told to write at the jr high level and to keep your point concise. You don't want to sit there with an email or report on you Directors desk and they ask you what you are saying in a certain topic.
