Steemit changed while I was asleep.
It seems that now half my feed is full of resteem, altcoin scams, and posts written in something other than english.
None of which I'm very interested in.

we need something....I suppose that all the new comers to steem has alerted the altcoin scam artists. They're out like sharks when there's blood in the water., in droves trying to rip them off. As I said, my feed is full of it. I dunno what the solution is but I hope there is one.
Agreed. If I wanted to see newsfeeds like this, I would have stayed on FB.
Isn't resteeming the same as sharing an article like on any other social media platform?
If thats the case it's helping the people that create the content to get more awareness of what they wrote or a'm i totally wrong here?

when you resteem you don't get any rewards but you DO increase the potential rewards of the original author.
The problem is that there is so MUCH of it. It seems that some people resteem everything they see. when several people do that I get the same posts...time after time after time.
That clogs up my newsfeed.
I admit..IDO resteeem...maybe once a month. Something has to be special, in my mind, for me to do so.
Good to know i'm here just a few days and not yet experiencing that i only see resteems on my feed.
But maybe that will come.
And a decent would be in place on steemit indeed
I found Steemit AFTER I had been on FaceBook for a long time and Tsu for a while.
I got some bad habits...one of which was trying to get as many 'friends' or followers as possible.
I'm rethinking that...

Currently I do find it more of a challenge to keep up with all the posts passing by. Some kind of filtering function would be a nice addition indeed.
