Thanks for your comment @arthur.grafo. It is indeed a wonderful life finding purpose that benefits something greater than the self. We are a group of many who have dedicated ourselves to the betterment of humanity--every single day! We can all do something if it is important to us. We simply need to make it a priority and focus our intention to that end. You can support our efforts simply by upvoting and resteeming our posts, which will give us the mean to pay it forward.

Upvoting is a pleasure, but I do not quite understand how the resteeming works. For instance, I resteemed a few posts but now I cannot find a way to delete them (since I am not benefiting them anymore). If it is possible, I'll gladly do so for your cause.
Should I not ask in which country you are helping to feed children and families?
We are in Texas in the United States.
Once you resteem a post, you cannot unsteem it, as far as I know. Resteeming is for things you want to remember, and the things that you find of value to share with those who follow you. People can look at your profile and see the things that you support, and know where your interests lie. Resteeming also helps others by giving their posts more exposure, so more people will be able to see them.
For those of us who do not come from or live in the USA, it is constantly a surprise that there are people there who are starving. You hear the word starving and you tend to think of Africa, or some such place. I know there are many homeless, many living in slums who suffer, but from talking with others, I've realsied that not many can picture it happening in rural and small town areas.
A pity that these problems have no acceptable end to them.
I don't want my blog page to be overwhelmingly resteems. After I've posted more of my own articles, I'll check back.
I understand your resteeming desires. I hope one day there will be a separation of our own posts and those that we resteem. it would be much easier to find the posts we want if that were the case.
It is amazing to me too that there are so many hungry people. And then there is the excuse to grow GMOs so more people can eat, when the waste in this country is phenomenal. There is some amazing number, like maybe 4x the world over could be fed with the food waste from this country alone! As a matter of disgusting fact...it is illegal to feed the homeless in Dallas. One must get permits, have running water, bathrooms and the like if they are to give more than a certain number of people food. And, the police here will enforce such ridiculousness, as will they in many many cities across this country, jailing people for giving their brother a sandwich!! There are some extremely skewed values in the minds of the human race. One day perhaps we will learn to stop fighting and take care of each other instead. The money we waste on war is unbelievable, and we are making more people hungry, sick, injured and homeless with our actions everyday. When will we ever learn?
There are two truths and both are valid:
Asking these kind of questions (especially of ourselves) leads to depression and a feeling of helplessness, and yet, it is necessary we ask these questions, or else there can never be any important improvements.
Both truths eat (erode) a little bit of our soul.
That is why the only answer is BEING the change we wish to see. Just watching it and feeling helpless truly can send one into a downward spiral of helplessness and hopelessness. But....gratefully at the @gardenofeden we have found solutions! We have found a way to help people by investing our every moment into being a living example and showing the possibilities for basing life on love, not on money, greed or superiority. We do have options. What the real question is....is how and how much are we willing to invest ourselves into making that happen.
O_O I didn´t know all those details,a friend told me who is in the United States that there is a lot of food.. but they throw every day??? that is a crime...!! when in my country you don´t get enough to eat three times a day. how is the system!!? I'm definitely surprised I´m the only who can make the difference? and work to achieve something can not give in to adversity you have to learn to be free to give people freedom and teach them the way I ´ll try try harder for myself to create my environment, my own plants, my own clothes etc ... bless!! <3 <3
