I was ready to post my next article dedicated to starting my new 3D movie project, but I saw one more downvote on my previews post made by some downvoting bots. From 10 votes I have 3 downvotes.
Ok if it will finish on 3 but what if these downvoting bot bastards will be 30 or 300? As plankton I have no reason to post my works here anymore, it is difficult enough to be seen and upvoted by someone powerful and it is so easy to be downvoted by these bastards.
I don't know if this will be solved, I don't want to ask like a beggar to upvote my posts just for justice. And I don't want to see downvotes in my posts. I do not pretend that all my posts should be noticed by powerful curators. But I spend my precious time for create some interesting content and if on this site every new-signed bastard is able to ruin people's work then it is not good site for creators... Sorry to write this but I'm disappointed.
I think developers must remove downvoting option for all new signed accounts before they get reputation 100. Otherwise there is no reason to post any content for plankton accounts.
Yeah this seems to be happening more and more. The thing that really bothers me is that they are flagging people for no reason. They are all small downvotes, at least, but that could still hurt accounts that don't have a lot of power.
Yes, most of all I'm hurt that the downvotes got to the post, where I shared a video of the beautiful phenomenon of nature. I would be less offended if it was a post in which I write my thoughts. I am most upset that this abomination has affected such a beautiful phenomenon of nature ...
Thank you for your support! I wrote a comment on https://steemit.com/abuse/@pirateofthedtube/exposing-the-steemit-defense-league-bought-accounts-on-microworkers-w-screenshot
I think these bot accounts were created via Steemit site because of +15 SP delegation.
Hi. I understand your frustration because the same thing happens to me, and that is why I have stopped publishing frequently, sometimes I want to leave the page but after a few days I return it but it is difficult to take into account many of the efforts that one makes to improve on the steemit platform.
I wish you success and a positive mind so that you can achieve your tasks.
Greetings from Venezuela
Thank you my friend, sorry to hear that you had the same frustration. I was so happy to find this site with such an amazing idea of earnings for creators, and now my happiness is ruined because I see how insecure we are here with our plankton accounts... I'm a fighter by nature, and my impotence on this site drives me into frustration... I hope this issue with downvotes will be solved.
I did some poking around and found this (and several other posts on the subject). This seems to be what happened to both of us. https://steemit.com/abuse/@pirateofthedtube/exposing-the-steemit-defense-league-bought-accounts-on-microworkers-w-screenshot
I missed this... sorry. You have great content. There was a problem with downvoters wandering around spreading bad will. Many people were hit. But there's been a cleanup and I think they're gone. Maybe they'll be back. I know it hits hard, but don't let it. It's pure negativity. You're an artist. You spread beauty. They can't touch you.
Thank you, @agmoore! I really appreciate your support and I hope I will continue posting here my articles but for now I'm really disappointed, three days ago this post was also downvoted and I'm not sure they're gone... Apart of downvoting I'm disappointed because of steemit issues with registering new users, my good friend artist could not get an account here, she tried twice and she was not registered. Even for my mother I had to buy an account because she was not registered too... And at the same time lots of downvoting accounts got their registration on steemit... it is so unfair and disappointing. I told so much good about steemit to my friends, and now I do not advise them to register here.
My friend is a young, beginner and talented artist. She has a very vulnerable psyche. And I'm even glad that she did not get registration here, since her first posts could be downvoted, and I do not know how that would affect her psyche and her self-esteem. A very unpleasant situation here, and I have no desire to post anything here for now...
If your friend is fragile, perhaps you are right. I sometimes get discouraged, then my family reminds me that I love to research material and write articles. And some people (like you) are really interesting, and nice. I hope you do start posting. I'll try to keep a lookout. You can just drop a comment on my most recent post when you do (don't have to vote for me) and I'll check out your blog. And send my regards to your mom--you know how I feel about moms :)
Thank you so much for your kind words and your support! I appreciate your attention to my posts and I hope, my gloom will pass soon, and the willing to share my thoughts and stories from my life will return to me.
My mom was very pleased with your attention, and she also sends you her kind regards :)
I know it's late to be writing a comment, but I agree with you. I got a few downvotes recently for what reason, I have no idea. I want to be able to keep uploading new chapters of Wackos 3, but I wonder what's the point; especially, if I keep getting downvoted.
By the way, I wanted to thank you again for your suggestion that I add some summary to my posts as a way to help new readers to know what happened before. I've been too busy to be able to do that, though.
I think what I will do is provide a short list of characters from each book and a short description of who they are. I don't know, but something would be good to do to let people know a little about what came before. Of course, they can read all the previous chapters if they want since those are available on the blockchain.
I wonder why I bother to post my chapters, though. Very, very few people have read them. Sigh...
It is never late to write comments :) Thank you for your attention to this post, and sorry to hear that you feel this disappointment too. I hope this will be solved soon.. :)
I realized that I wrote this following my own comment, so I decided to repost it here.
I hope it'll be solved, but I doubt it. Mostly, the vast majority of people are here to manipulate the blockchain system toward profit. No doubt, quite a few heard that if you use bots and various schemes, you'll be able to draw in large sums of money for each post you make (regardless it were cut and pasted off of YouTube or wherever).
For me, I decided to use Steemit as a way to get more people exposed to what I have written. Why do I want that? I don't know, but I write because something crawled inside me and keeps bothering me to feel I have to sit down and bang out words - a type of therapy, I guess. I'm getting older, and felt that the blockchain was a good way to protect my output from fire, data-lose, or what have you.
Some may think I'm crazy to put it out there for free, but I wasn't making much from it on Kindle and no publisher appears interested to promote it. Simply, it's better to be out there for someone to come across and perhaps be entertained by then to keep it on my hard drive, unread, and eventually be erased by some family member once I'm dead.
Therefore, I guess I'll keep posting until I finish with Wackos 3. My other books, I may or may not post. Currently, I started writing a last book to the Wackos series. If I finish it, I may put it on Steemit as well. I don't know. I haven't gotten very far into it yet, but after I finished Book Three, I knew there was one more to write.
Sorry about the long rambling, but I'm in that kind of place at the moment. Anyway, don't get too discouraged. Steemit is as frustrating and uncaring as life itself, but it's great to have the potential to share a little bit of ourselves with like-minded people around the world. Before the Internet, that was next to impossible except for a very small segment of lucky people who were provided with a mouthpiece in a very closed and controlled system.
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts, @keniza! I think you should continue posting your books, since you write them. Especially since for you this is like therapy. And you are right that posting your books in blockchain will protect your works from any data-lose.
I don't know English good and it takes me a lot of time and efforts to write my posts. Too much time for keep calm about downvoting. And I decided to spend this time for my work and my project. Maybe one day I will come back with my posts but not for now I think...
Thanks for the encouragement. I agree it all takes time and it's depressing when some jerk downvotes for no reason. Relax, take it time and start posting again when you get some time to spare. I've always enjoyed reading your posts and look forward to your next one.

Hi, don't be dissapointed. The same thing happend to me. I just saw someone downvoted me without any reason and then I saw it's some bot or spam or fake account, or whatever. Try to report those accounts as spam to steamclearners. Those bots usualy don't have any voting power so they cannot do anything to your reputation.
Thank you very much for your reply! Can you please teach me how I can report to steamcleaners? I did not know about it!
http://steemcleaners.com/reports/new This is reporting room. Just put the link of the fake account and you can add in comment that you were downvoted by this account without any reason.
Thank you very much!
