Contrary to what might seem to be the title, the advice that Canadian Harv Eker gives in the best-selling The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind does not have much to do with the amount of money in his pocket. The Sextante publisher's book, which has not been on the best-selling list in Brazil for years, is actually about emotional rather than financial wealth. For the author based in the United States who became a millionaire in two and a half years, it is his beliefs that determine his degree of control over finances. His lessons are based on giving up some old ways of thinking and acting, mastering emotions and rethinking mental models. Do not just read this book. The author himself admits that some concepts may be useful, and others you can rule them out. The important thing is to apply the lessons that make sense to your life.

1. Enrichment

Harv Eker argues that those who have the "millionaire mind" can lose all money and can recover quickly. For him, it is the beliefs, thoughts, and habits that determine one's degree of success.

2. Money

We all have a plan for money and success in the subconscious. Ë this model that determines our financial future. Lack of money is just a reflection of an inner emotional discontent.

3. Thoughts

These and other phrases we hear about money when we are children, such as "this is not for our beak" and "the rich are dishonest" remain in the subconscious. These words become deeply rooted emotions that overcome logic in the act.

4. Motivation

None of these problems, such as fear, anger, or the need to prove something to oneself, can be solved with money. Money makes no one more capable or competent for something. Therefore, to thrive financially, it is necessary to establish new mental associations.

5. Choices

Even thoughts and beliefs must be chosen consciously, to make logical and sensible decisions. When making choices of consumption, for example, it is not enough that the decision makes sense at that moment to be successful. She needs logic behind her.

6. Attitude

You need to put yourself in charge of your life, because financial success does not just depend on luck. Poor-minded people put themselves in the position of victim and blame the economy, the government or the boss, for example. They focus on obstacles, not opportunities.

7. Values

Money is essential in the areas where it produces results and insignificant where it is of no use. But in short, no rich man believes that money is not important.

8. Ambition

Poor-minded people want to have just enough money to pay bills on time, but intentions have power. "I hate to give you this news, but there's a huge difference between having some comfort and being rich."

9. Inspiration

The quickest and easiest way to get rich is to learn from rich people and copy their internal and external strategies. Good examples are key.

10. Problems

As Harv Eker says, "enriching is not a walk in the woods". For the author, the road to wealth is a journey full of curves, detours and traps, which is why most people do not take it. In the quest for an uncomplicated life, people feel flawed and find other problems along the way.
