Hi all, any info would be greatly appreciated.
I'm pretty new here and rarely post anything that gets more than a cent or two so this post isn't so much about me being worried about my "2 cents" (pun intended) than it is about me being confused as heck about how and why this keep happening. I have had a number of posts now that have had an estimated payout of 3 or 4 cents which has stayed at 3 or 4 cents for the entire week and right on the day it is supposed to pay out, the estimated payout drops to zero and I get nothing...Can anybody tell me how or why this happens and perhaps how best to prevent it in the future?
The price of steem changes daily, and so does the value of posts and upvotes due to that. With a few cent drop in steem or sbd price, you will see a 3 or 4 cent post go to 1 or 0 cents.. For example I had a post that was over $50 a while back, and when the day 7 came around it was at $42. And alot of my less then 10 cent posts or upvotes go down to like 2 or 3 cents sometimes, steem is volitile and it changes so much from hour to hour even sometimes.
Hmmm...It seems that at the time it happened SBD was on the rise though..
I am not sure but I am reteeming it so perhaps more eyes on the subject will get some answers. Anyone else reading this should do the same until we get an answer. This does on fact concern all of us.

I am having this problem at the moment. it started back in March. before on low earning posts, I still got the payout, up until March, it started dropping to zero when I was suppose to get the payout. I don't know if its something I did. But I wish there was a way to contact the steemit staff
I actually had the same experience. Not relly getting to zero but dropping a few cents to almost a dollar.
Here are some of the answers I've gatheres so far.
First, check the number of upvotes. Some users might have downvoted your post. That will cause your pay-out to go down.
Second, the price of steem dollars actually fluctuates. If the value of SBD goes down, your pay-out also decreases.
These are answers I got from other users as well. I am not sure if this really the case or just assumptions also.
Thanks @deemonica, I thought the same thing but the upvotes never changed and it was actually during a period that SBD was rising so that's what has me really baffled! Nobody has down voted the video either that I can see, what's worse is that it isn't just decreasing in value from 2 cents to one or anything like that, it's just straight to zero so I get nothing...It makes it rather difficult to build up any Steem (again pun intended).
Hmmm. Have you tried checking if you have been flagged? It also decreases the pay-out value.
Where do I check that?

STOPI am having this problem at the moment. I started having this problem back in March, but only some post dropped to zero and some stayed at 2 cents. I don't know if its something that I did, or if I broke a rule and my account is being penalized. but what ever is the cause I hope it gets resolved soon! I am having trouble looking for a job and this is the only source of income I have
