My Experience On Steemit: Almost a Year,1000 Followers And A Lot of Good/Bad Memories..

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

I started blogging on Steemit in late June 2017.In the beginning, i thought it was a scam like many other sites but when I received my first payment these doubts were long gone, at the time I started learning more and more about cryptocurrencies and attended several classes.

First, I was blinded by these big fat payments of many users especially whales, so I thought it would be an easy mission to make a lot of cash just like them, therefore I started posting several shitty posts and I was focusing on quantity rather than quality. The result was very frustrating, I would get few cents for each post but that wasn't really the problem ! the real problem was that I thought my posts were fine until I started reading more and more posts in the platform and discovered how creative and amazing some users are.I learned the hard way so I started to focus on writing quality posts, some good content to read, things that can really help people in their lives.

I was and still a big fan of self-improvement in all areas of life from professional to love life, that's why after the big change my first posts were dedicated to improving my life and the life quality of my readers/followers ( and they were really few :p ) alongside with some low quality scientific posts from the day I was a Med-student.

At that time even though I didn't make any significant success, I was really satisfied with myself and STEEMIT BECAME MY ADDICTION.You know that good feeling after writing a good post and waiting for the result is just priceless!

I used to give a shit about money (like a lot ! ) and I still do at a certain level but things were different that time because I knew deep that if I have helped only one person that would be a great reason to continue the path.

Through my journey, STEEM price had its ups and downs and ins and outs. When I first joined steemit STEEM price was about $1.20 while SBD price was about $1.50, thus, it was really difficult for good ol' *shitty poster* me to make a lot of STEEM. Then STEEM price kept 'glued' to that price for about 5 months. Finally, in December/January the STEEM price exploded, reaching 'almost' 8 dollars: it was the moment I really considered selling (at first I thought Steem power was negligible, thus I kept all my earnings in form of STEEM) but luckily I trusted the community and powered up my whole earnings. I really enjoyed my new power on the platform (even tho it wasn't much). I am pretty sure STEEM will soon skyrocket to at least $10 thus I am holding. You are probably wondering why I am currently powering down? Because in case of an emergency I can easily withdraw funds without waiting a whole week and if I don't need it I can power up again I highly recommend doing it especially if you don't have any 'emergency money'.

First, the steemit community wasn't really a big fan of science posts, they were all about bitcoin and cryptos and that made perfect sense for me but that didn't stop me from sharing my love to science.Luckily I have encountered some good folks who supported me, it was the moment that I have joined THE STEEMSTEM COMMUNITY (@steemstem), a community project to promote science technology, engineering and mathematics postings on Steemit administered by professional scientists. It was a game changer because I'm now fully dedicated to delivering my content via a great community which grows larger and larger each day.

Final words, we're always looking for some kind of life achievement and satisfaction, for me, I have found some on this platform..I love you all <3

SPECIAL THANKS to the man, the myth, the legend @shaka 😛, I don't know you but I'm grateful for your support.
