As I’ve briefly mentioned in previous posts, I have pressed that power down button for the first time while being on steemit. This post is to explain why. I’m not leaving steemit at all, in fact, I’m not even powering down all of my steem power, only one or two power downs, three maximum. I believe steemit will be a strong cryptocurrency one day but at the moment it is struggling, with more potential for the future; the next hardfork isn’t for quite a while.

Steem’s Struggle

At the moment, steemit is struggling a lot to rise in price. After the boom a couple of months when it was being promoted to death, the price has slowly been dwindling. Because of this I think it’s time to take some profit from my steem power that I’ve been working to build up for the last few months.

Enough to Cover my Power Down

I’ve made a post on Thursday as part of my weekly series that is going to give quite a hefty payout with a 100% power up. This will give me enough to pay back two power downs worth of steem power, so in fact I will not be losing anything, or very much by making these power downs.

Other Cryptocurrency Endeavours

Steemit is the main way that I have been earning cryptocurrency for the last few months and now that I have amassed quite a bit I want to branch out into other endeavours in cryptocurrency, making more forms of passive income. This also gives me even more things to write about on steemit, allowing me to make better content. The only downside is my upvote will be worth a little less but not very much.
