Since you are logged into steemit, you are using either posting or master key.
I guess you are using the master - so nothing is lost.
Best thing is not to panick and read up on how keys and permissions work on steem.
With your master key, you can get to all the other keys.
That is why you should best use it only for that.
With the separate steemit.wallet, it seems, you can not log in with your master key.
Other steem wallets can do that, though.
You could use a trusted 2nd party app ...
