Once upon a time in Florida the weather was superb and the seas were calm, this was a trip last summer with a few friends. With the wind blowing 20 mph all this month I haven't been able to get out so I am doing this post to reminisce when the conditions were perfect.
Emily hooked up on a jack.
Bait of choice was live shrimp on a 1/4 ounce jighead.
Felicity here hooked up using 20 braid and a long 20 # florocarbon leader.
A very colorful Porgy that's excellent to eat.
Here is Phil hooked up on something nice.
It was his personal best Hogfish! Our favorite way to cook these hogfish are to put them on the grill whole with some peppers, onions and herbs stuffed inside. Drizzle some olive oil on them and cook them on the grille for about 10 minutes a side.
