Time for some personal thoughts....
Ive been doing a lot of thinking about where I will be this time next year as I am in a weird stage in my life. I am soon to graduate college in December and will be thrown into the world of real adulthood. sighs
I am graduating with a degree in business management, as business is something that really interests me. I want nothing more than to do something that I love and am passionate about every day, and thats what scares me! I don't want to get the typical 9-5 job working for a company that I have no interest in. The motivation to not have a boring, mundane life has got my wheels turning. I decided I want to create something out of nothing and start a business. The idea of being a business owner and being a completely self-sufficient woman who doesn't have to rely on anyone really appeals to me.
I think this is a big part of the reason why I take a big interest in Steemit. The freedom to post about whatever you like and create something and get paid for it on the spot is mind blowing. Truly takes to the entrepreneurial spirit inside me lol
Love being apart of this and grateful for this opportunity :)
Sorry for this quarter life crisis rant.

I'd like to offer one piece of advice. Don't be scared to change your mind. If you end up in a job which you hate or just doesn't inspire you and you feel the urge to look elsewhere trust your instincts. At the start of my career, I had no hesitation switching from one job to another until I found a satisfying niche (making sure I had a job to go to before leaving my current one). At the moment you're at a stage of life where the years stretch out infront of you and probably feels like life is going to go on forever (we've all been there :-)), trust me..when I hit 40 the old cliche of realising how short life is hit me HARD. So ... don't underestimate how precious your time is. Make sure you spend it doing something that makes you want to get out of bed every morning. Trust your instincts, value your time.
very well said. inspiring and truthful advise.
If you have the passion for entrepreneurship and owning your own business don't let anyone tell you not to! I have owned my own businesses since college and after, dealt with all the haters and rejection. It will happen but keep your head down and keep going! Feel free to reach out for any advice
Will do! Followed :)
I appreciate anyone who really decides to live life and not take the path everyone else blindly follows. If you set your mind to something everything will fall into place eventually. Call it spirituality, faith or a trust in the universal energy that connects us all!
I second that 10000 times over.
Agreed!
Whatever you do - this is what I tell my ladies in ministry - be sure that it makes your heart sing! If the soul inside loses its song, you will know somewhere you have gone wrong. If the soul inside continues to soar, trust your heart is right and let your spirit roar! I'm a mom now but was exactly where you are fifteen years ago.
Don't waste your time on bad dates - that can eat away at your dreams. Be sure your friends and colleagues foster, mentor and grow you! Be kind to others and always kind and forgiving to yourself. DO NOT EVER STOP DREAMING! Your dreams will change with your seasons in life. But it is your journey. You were fearfully and wonderfully made for something uniquely your own. Find it. Follow it. Do it. And always be you. Congratulations on what awaits you now!
Great advice @cdwyatt38, I liked reading your post @fitgirl looking forward for more!

Thank you for your inspirational words :)
Stop thinking and start doing whatever you like and many opportunities will cross your way.
Just go with the flow, it'll be fine in the end! Even if you have to grab a boring 9-5 job for awhile, just save as much as you can and motivate yourself with your business plans :)
Good advice! Thanks :)

Always going to be mundane things about life, we sleep, eat, work, etc but we're all unique and can allocate our time accordingly. Don't be afraid to fail and always keep at it. Just discovered your channel and congrats on graduating soon.

As long as you are fit all is fine :D
Hahaha that may be true!
Just my personal opinion: Get ready for a rude awakening, the world at the moment is not set up with meritocracy as its basis. As the late George Carlin said "You know what is the problem with the 'American Dream'? You have to be asleep to believe it." It's been 9 years since I left college and nothing was as I thought it would be, it's a struggle and fundamentally an unfair one. You will have to take orders from idiots with family connections at first, you will do jobs that you find mundane, you will have moments of thinking of surrendering at the 'system' in place and just be an 'obedient worker' content with the illusion of freedom that you are fed. But I hope one day you will see that you have a choose: or to accept the world as it is and keep your mouth shut, so you can fit in. Or... do not ever give up your human right of independent and critical thought, question everything and understand that there is no real authority out there. And all the struggle is actually good, a friction with the world that you can learn a lot from. Understand the dynamics at play and figure out ways too make the world fairer, more sustainable (in a material sense) and more nourishing to the human psyche. I read a book recently 'The subtle art of not giving a fuck' and he made a point that I really agree with. That most people imagine an end goal they want and neglect the effort and struggle to get there, so it's actually better to flip that logic and decide on what you want to struggle with and neglect the end goal (because you probably won't end up where you thought you would). So... just my opinion, embrace the struggle, learn from all experiences, good and bad, don't ever give up your right to true freedom (of thought), don't be afraid to stand up and speak your truth, and enjoy the ride. Personally, I have faith in the world, we are a very young species if you think about the 'big picture'. And whenever we have had a revolution in the movement of information, new synthesis are born and the world changes. When the axial age started and trade roots became more established, ideas spread from one place to another and new synthesis where made. Then the printing press became more established and with books, ideas could transcend space and time in a new way, and again we had a boom of a new synthesis. Now we are living in very exciting times, with the invention of the internet information can go everywhere faster than ever before. And we are just in the beginning, we sent our first email just 20 years ago and now we just started scratching the surface of what else can we send.
Hello, Blockchain!!!
(Excuse my rant, I'm just in my early 30s, and I'm still figuring out things for myself, so this reply in half to you and probably half to say it to myself too.)
I hope you embrace the struggle, learn from all your experiences and never give up the freedom of thought. The world is changing, it's going to be a bumpy ride, perhaps things will get worse until they get better. So... we need people like you. Stay focus on the big picture and enjoy the ride.
I appreciate your insight! Thanks :)
