My take is this: I’ve seen numerous attempts by the community to do “something”. Nothing appears to have worked. Every day that goes by is a day where more rewards are raked in. What do rewards give you? Immunity. Between his own power and group of sponsors (because there is more that the single name dropped individual), he has attained untouchable status.
And this is just one individual. What on earth happens if ten, one hundred people start up like this? Fundamentally, the tools given to the community are flawed. It reduces us to talking about the problem without being able to deal with the problem. Essentially, much like how the large central entities do a job in lifting up new users, central entities are needed to police. And it seems like a co-ordinated high power effort is not possible to achieve.
So this is what we will be reduced to. Talking about the issue, letting it spiral. I have no alternative, I have no means.
