How do we know we have privacy on Steemit after being forced to provide verified email and phone number?

I don't like the looks of this. We are supposed to believe that the govt can not get hold of our contact information through steemit which has our email and phone number? How can this be considered censorproof? The govt simply serves a bogus warrant and steemit rats us out. Then we go to a fema camp for posting too many pizzagate posts. Don't laugh it is happening already for example in Thailand they arrest people for posting criticism of the King on Facebook. Can someone explain our steemit identities are not being tracked down and identified by the NSA anytime it wants to ?

You can signup for an account without having to provide any information via AnonSteem: https://steemit.com/steemit/@someguy123/anonsteem-create-anonymous-steem-accounts-without-social-media

It should be a option at steemit.com

When you signup via Steemit.com - they are paying your "entry fee". If users could signup anonymously, it would be abused.

The government doesn't need steemit or any other social media to know who you are or what you are saying. If they really wanted to spy on you it is not difficult at all, they can tap your cell phone even if it is off. You personally they probably do not care about unless you have a signifcant influence over a group of people or live in a totalarian regime.

There hasn't been any anonymity on the internet in well over a decade. Operating under any other assumption is foolish.
