RE: Recruiting New People for Steemit?

in #steemit6 years ago

I believe in "do as I do, not just do as I say."

I am still looking for (and learning) the right way to attract, train, and retain new people. I think a lot will depend on the rewards that I am able to give.

Although my life experiences taught me a lot and are very valuable, they are for an entirely different audience.

So, I am really looking for mentors that can help those who we can attract. I "look" or "seek" to enable and empower them. You can be one of them and I'll be happy to see what you might have in mind.

My first step was the #ccc initiative. My second step is the #ccc contests that I host. My third step is co-sponsoring contests.

My next step is not getting any responses -

- my offers to sponsor a contest that a #ccc member would propose to host - her idea and my SBI or ? (whatever)

I guess the only kind of mentoring I've done, not sure if I'd call it that though, was nominating people for #pifc. I had to skip doing that for a couple of months but I plan to get back to it. I liked looking for new people to support.

You made that offer to me, to sponsor a contest, but I don't have clue one on how to do that. And I probably wasn't ready at the time to give my full concentration. (I think the pain meds made my brain foggy!) If you are still willing, I am willing to learn! (The idea you suggested was along the 'how we met' line.)
