Steemit seemed first like a very interesting concept.
But let's be honest, calm down and look at the facts for a moment.
Here is why Steemit is worse than it's competitors without tokens:
- The Login is very impractical with the huge password.
- It's not possible to recover lost passwords.
- Mostly rich people will get their voice heard.
- The community very new not yet established.
- Some are only here because of the money, not the content.
- You can't get push messages.
Here is why Steemit is better:
- You get paid.
So only because of the money people should come here? That's not gonna work.
What do you think? Let me know.

Nice one @freeinthoughts, but I disagree.
I think Steemit will work on the premise of getting paid alone. As for being a 'new' platform, everything is new at some point, right? The content? Will get much much better will popularity.
Compare to Facebook. When did you get an account? When did it get started?
Relax, man. The probability we will fail soon is very very negliible.
Just enjoy yourself! :)
I like your objection, @whitewizard. Especially because I left Facebook because most content is only stolen and bad over there, you convinced me a bit more that a money based approach could improve this issue.
And if the usability issues improve, Steemit will probably be an interesting platform.
