No you can't. If you don't already have steem power and a whale votes on a thread you did your percentage goes to 0.000 immediately. The only way you get anything is if the vote at the exact right time and the thread makes only a few bucks. then you might get lucky and make .005. Would take years to get anywhere near $100.

Depending on how much SP you have. But if you vote first before whales vote, I was referring to that.
You need a lot of steem power to even get .001$% if a whale votes. There steem power knocks you out of the game even if you vote at the right time.

yea, the truth hurts. steem poverty is about the highest aspiration anyone can achieve except whales. dont stop the suckers trying though.
ok what if you contribute content and a whale votes on your content and you gain in Steem Power ? Surely the platform can reward quality over time, if you build the right following.
