RE: Bot-update

in #steemit8 years ago

It works like this:

Joooney likes xx of my posts. I look up which rank you are and if you are number 3, I make the bot vote at 40% power on all your posts, which does not include comments. The first attempt at differentiating includes the top five (which is more than five now, since it is inseparable), but I will extend it to ten later. Which will give 99-90-80...20-10% automatic votes.

There are currently several at number 3, so I set all to 40.

I also have spots for special mentions, people who contribute in ways I did not expect. They get 20% upvotes for at least a month.

I look it up periodically to match the most active to a corresponding percentage to incentivize contributors to my efforts.

I do not differentiate between minnows and whales, so everyone can get a spot in my bot. I do however send a 99% upvote to my largest contributor, which is ramta.

I also support some of the developers with this bot.

Do not confuse my bot with my manual voting. If I find some good comments, some great pictures, I vote. But I use steemit for very specific searches, so I often forget my supporters. That's when the bot comes in and do the job I often forget.
