Is It Worth it to be Active on Steemit with Steem's price so low?

Is writing or posting other stuff on Steemit worth it these days, with the price as low as it is? Well first of all it is low but only if you measure it with where it went at the end of last year and how it was priced at the beginning of this year, because last year in March the price went down to about $0.08 and there were people still using the platform and they are still here so I think the price while a significant reason for people not staying here, is not that important a factor for a lot of people, whom I guess are now Steemit regulars.

I have read a lot of articles from Steemit enthusiasts who say that this is the time to get more involved because you actually get more Steem for your work just that it is worth less, I do think this is slightly off because people are voting less so in reality you are getting less Steem than before. But if you are getting about the same votes you were getting before the price slump I think they are right, you get the same Steem you got before only less value in dollars.

For example I usually don't get much votes for my posts I think when I get one whole Steem token for an article I am doing well enough, of course a few months back this article was worth 4, 5 or even 6 dollars, today that same article with the same votes will only get $0.80, but I still get the same 1 Steem.

So in regards to the question I don't see why it isn't worth it to stay active on Steemit as long as you are getting the same or even more votes than before, because all of us I believe are sure that Steem's price will eventually go up, when I can't say, but up it should go, and then whatever Steem we have will go up substantially in price.

Consider this - As long as your bullish on STEEM & BTC then now is a great time to get involved with this platform and power up! Once BTC goes on its mega bull run which should push BTC to at least 50k/USD per coin in the coming 12-18 months I'd assume. Whatever STEEM power you have accumulated during times like this will be worth that much more down the line.

To the question in your title, my Magic 8-Ball says:

It is decidedly so

i think depending on whether you are a long time steemit user or just your typical minnow the answer to this question could vary significantly.

if you are like me very small on the proverbial food chain and can find your way into a nice community of active people you can if your creative enough work your way up the chain by posting regularly. initially i dont expect to see much progress in the way of author rewards but keeping people engaged and trying to start open ended discussions will increase my reputation 1st and foremost at a steady pace.
once i have a reputation that does not scream sardine the next thing that hopefully will happen is my follower base will increase if i continue to stay active.
then hopefully people will comment more often and reply back to my comments and that is when i will in theory start seeing an uptick in author rewards which leads to higher steempower.
its not any 1 thing that gets me votes its a combination of all aspects of steemit being active having a healthy follower train and contributing interesting things in post and comment form will transform any steemit account into a super power.

once you are at that stage what you choose to do with a larger steempower can help shape your frequency of post rewards

I have been on Steemit for over two years, I have cashed out and that is the main reason my SP is so low, I did get to have it over 500. As for followers I have over 2,000, I don't interact much and I think most of these followers are either bots or new members who are just following everybody they can, I guess most of them are inactive now. Most of the few votes I do get come from some bot or other.
